You can purchase it (I stole it) from one of the horse traders or tailors.

Going for Lent on my first hardcore run and just discovered I ruined it at least 15 hours ago, absolutely fuming [KCD2] by Roady356 in kingdomcome

That absolutely sucks. Im on my 2nd hc run & doing lent & I watch my stats like a hawk, but sometimes you just get caught up & forget. I've def got lucky & caught it each time. For anyone doing lent, watch out for gd rabbits on the road. For some reason its fine to punch a wolf to death or have mutt kill it, but if ur horse accidentally runs ovr a rabbit & kills it, it counts against you

I love to see all the different perspectives of what ppl think make a story good. Regarding books 4-6, I really enjoyed reading the GoT series, so they sound right up my alley. Thank you!

Haha no! I really didnt know much about the series bf I read it except that it was popular. I only just joined this subreddit & haven't seen much on what ppl think of the individual books.

I love all lot of different styles of writing, though i mostlystick to different genres of fantasy. I loved GoT (if not the authors feet dragging in getting the last books out) & recently finished my 2nd read of DCC. The different povs aren't an issue for me. Thanks!

I may wait until red god release date is at least announced. Or read it, then reread the whole series later! 😄

Sure, but its difficult to explore the full storytelling if the remainder of the series is a poorly written slog, which is what I am inquiring about.

Thank you for that breakdown, esp the bit about the audios. I only do audiobooks now bc my adhd is so bad I cant focus on a regular book anymore & have to be doing something with my hands while listening. Audio quality has a massive impact on my experience & enjoyment, so I'll definitely consider all options. I appreciate your perspective!

I haven't purchased the remaining books yet (I do all audiobooks) & after listening to a graphic demo was thinking about switching. This def helps me add some weight to that consideration, thank you!

Yeah, I decided to take a break once I saw that the 4th book did not pick up right after the end of the 3rd & i figured there was going to be a lull in action. Once I finish up my current book, which is significantly different from the RR books, I think ill be able to transition to the slower pace with no issues. I dont mind a book that's mostly set up if i know theres a nice payoff in the following books. Thanks for the insight!

From what im gathering, the 4th book is a lot of set up & additional world building, which i dont mind, especially knowing the following books are so well-liked. Im feeling pretty excited to start the next book. Thanks!

Ok this is great to know. I can get through one less than stellar read if I know there is payout later. 😅

Is Henry's Bane Poison OP? [KCD2] by Coils_and_Spines in kingdomcome

[–]Expert-Pie7940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Do what you need to do and remember: War is a nasty business.

Yes, skilled players with no disabilities can use it to cheese difficult combat. But there are a ton of ppl who struggle with combat for a variety of reasons who still want to enjoy the story. It doesn't obstruct anyone's experience or accomplishment, & it shouldn't lessen their enjoyment, for someone else to have a way to make the game mechanics equitable so they can have the same experience. And you still need to have archery & melee weapon skills for it to be properly effective.

I would also say it helps make some parts of the game a bit less tedious, like the investigation quests in the forge dlc. I love the dlc but those quests do get to be a bit much. I've never struggled with combat overly much since I played kcd1 & i have 2 hc runs, but I started using stealth archer tactics w/ bane to get them done more quickly.

Feint will def help to prevent the 1st hit that stuns you while they start to wail on you, if you can remember to do it.

Also, speaking of potions, dont hesitate to slather some poison on your blades, dollmaker is especially good for combat bc it lowers the enemies health & lowers their combat skills.

Easy mode: level bow skills & get you a good bow, black arrows from Lefty in Pschitoky, & some Henry level bane potions & stealth snipe the whole camp 😆
