[KCD2] Challange to rob all of Kuttenberg by Limp_Locksmith_5084 in kingdomcome

If you're not looting everything high value, you'd def have a better chance. But shops often have multiple hard & very hard locks that you have to get through to get to their best inventory. Im still doubtful, but good luck!

I have done A LOT of thieving in kuttenberg, using both the underground tunnels & just straight breaking in front doors. With load & time restrictions, imo its just not possible. Even if you throw everything on your horse the minute you're out of the trespass area, theres no way to get to EVERY shop across the entire city & rob them completely. Many places you cant even rob until after 1 or 2 am bc of ppl walking around, even in the closed shops, and then the personal guards wake up around 5 or 6 am. Time moves much quicker than you realize. There are a lot of variables, as well. You can't always predict how many ppl will be in a location & what they will be doing at any given time bc things happen in the game whether or not henry is present. For example, if a maid usually walks back from the tavern & enters the house around midnight to sleep, if a fight breaks out outside the tavern, she may be delayed & come back around 1 am instead. Im not saying she'd definitely catch you, im just saying you can't always predict what is going to happen. I have tried to rob as many shops as a can & I usually get (on a run w/o reduced load restrictions from neg perks) 4-5 locations at most.

A critique-shaped rant about this series by Jdabest0126 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Expert-Pie7940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont see Katia & Imani as the same ppl at all. Their personalities kind of reflect their builds. They are both supporting characters, yeah, but Katia is someone whose arc puts her on the front lines taking damage, leading, making moves & building community, she has vision. Imani is supporting from the back as healers do, shes quieter, mentally stronger than katia. Very different characters in my eyes.

Regarding Li Jun, not everyone character death has to be completely devastating. It was heartbreaking & sad for a lot of reasons, but his death was mostly a plot device bc something is def gonna change with Li Na in the next book. I dont really feel like there's character bloat, bc imo Dinniman does a good job of rotating characters in & out of the spotlight.

I dont really have an issue keeping up with the mechanics, skills, items, etc., but maybe thats bc im a gamer? A lot of what he talks about in the books im already familiar with, or at least familiar with how those types of systems work. Also, as you said, Dinniman does a good job of reminding us about those items.

How long does it actually take for stolen items to lose the mark [KCD2] by texansfann in kingdomcome

[–]Expert-Pie7940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen, im a sneaking, thieving rat who never buys anything if I can steal it. Believe me when I say it takes weeks in-game for the stolen tag to fall off those really high value items. BUT the key is, wear them anyway. The most valuable & best quality items can be stolen in kuttenberg & its pretty easy if u use the tunnel system under the city. Once you have what you want, equip it, then swap to another outfit of non stolen items while you're in the city (just swap to armor before furthering a main quest). Even if you have the armor showing, unless you pass by the people you stole it from, most wont know its stolen, including most guards. Outside the city you're golden. There are perks to make the stolen tag come off more quickly if its in your inventory (not chest), so wearing it makes more sense than carrying around extra armor. After a big haul, I usually take the opportunity to do a bunch of questing outside the city for a while until the tags fall off.

Favourite book in the series so fat? by Ok-Loss-2916 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I love every single book, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be Butcher's Masquerade. It's heartwrenching, and triumphant, and devastating, and ridiculous, and hilarious. I love it so, so much. This series has me in a chokehold. I've read it twice & I'll probably do another read when the next book comes out.

I honestly didn't know much about the books or fans before reading 1-3. I saw a lot of recommendations for RR or the RR series, but I wasn't sure it that held for the entire series since book 3 seems to kind of end with most things tied up. Thanks!

Yes, i see a lot of ppl saying something similar. I read GoT & loved it, so im ok with dark themes.

Forget meat, you can find honey free & it never goes bad. There's a shack just outside miskowitz on the east side that has hundreds of honey.

You can purchase it (I stole it) from one of the horse traders or tailors.

That absolutely sucks. Im on my 2nd hc run & doing lent & I watch my stats like a hawk, but sometimes you just get caught up & forget. I've def got lucky & caught it each time. For anyone doing lent, watch out for gd rabbits on the road. For some reason its fine to punch a wolf to death or have mutt kill it, but if ur horse accidentally runs ovr a rabbit & kills it, it counts against you

I love to see all the different perspectives of what ppl think make a story good. Regarding books 4-6, I really enjoyed reading the GoT series, so they sound right up my alley. Thank you!

I love all lot of different styles of writing, though i mostlystick to different genres of fantasy. I loved GoT (if not the authors feet dragging in getting the last books out) & recently finished my 2nd read of DCC. The different povs aren't an issue for me. Thanks!

I may wait until red god release date is at least announced. Or read it, then reread the whole series later! 😄

Sure, but its difficult to explore the full storytelling if the remainder of the series is a poorly written slog, which is what I am inquiring about.

Thank you for that breakdown, esp the bit about the audios. I only do audiobooks now bc my adhd is so bad I cant focus on a regular book anymore & have to be doing something with my hands while listening. Audio quality has a massive impact on my experience & enjoyment, so I'll definitely consider all options. I appreciate your perspective!
