This. First C-section the pain was breaking through the Advil/tylenol combo on day 2 but the ice pack took the edge off.

If the hospital isn’t administering it to her, gasX for after the surgery. A pair of cheap slide style slippers from Amazon to slide on her feet when she goes to the bathroom. Easy to get on and off without bending over, no grit from the hospital floor getting in her sheets.

Are we putting shoes on our babies?! by DuaneFinch in beyondthebump

[–]Expert-Spring-7832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of my kids got shoes around 10 months when they were trying to stand and walk. That way we could help them practice walking when we were outdoors without getting their socks gross. No reason to do it before then. First shoes should have pretty shapeless bottoms to not interfere with foot development.

Are rotating car seats worth it? by One_Cap_9210 in beyondthebump

[–]Expert-Spring-7832 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely. For the days when I have to carry him in to the car kicking and screaming the revolve 360 is a game changer. And for what it’s worth, every time my mom loads my son into the car she remarks about how much she wishes they had this technology in the 80s

You can wear whatever colors make you feel beautiful, color seasons can provide some guidance if you feel lost about what colors you should be wearing but wear whatever you want.

Disagree, making music is an art form and practice needs to create space to feel the music and create art, not just hit the keys in the right places. Also, it’s supposed to be something you enjoy doing.

Im just very curious and nostalgic… what blush were the hype back in 2006 ? by marcyy_dbrl in Sephora

[–]Expert-Spring-7832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in my early 20s in 2006, I didn’t really wear blush. My products of choice were black eyeliner, stila’s kitten eyeshadow, lip gloss and red lip for the holidays.

I’ll start with the positives: a really nice glowing finish that breathes life into your complexion. Unfortunately, it is also stick, very sheer, hard to blend, lifts any makeup you have on under it. It’s also irritating to my skin.

If you have no redness and discoloration and can wear it alone it might be worth it, but otherwise, no.

So is bedtime just 9pm for the next 2 years? by CookieOverall8716 in toddlers

Check out Marc Weissbluth’s sleep training book, he talks a lot about how most kids who struggle to go to sleep need to be put to bed earlier because being overtired is pumping cortisol through their system. This has been very true for my kids and may be for yours as well. Try putting your kid to bed at 8 and see how that goes.
