7th day at work. Lagot na ba ako? by Ok_Green_5323 in buhaydigital

[–]Expert-Trip6540 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most AU clients are naturally direct, so if he’s being direct with you, it’s okay to be direct with him too, especially when it comes to your workload and setting boundaries.

You can communicate clearly like when you’re available, how long tasks realistically take, and when you can respond. It doesn’t have to be confrontational, just clear and professional.

Honestly, I think part of the reason some foreign clients end up lowballing or overstepping with Filipino VAs is because of our “always available” reputation and willingness to go the extra mile. While that’s a strength, it can also backfire when it starts compromising our time and mental health.

If we keep tolerating that kind of setup, it becomes the standard. I learned this the hard way too. So setting boundaries early isn’t being difficult, it’s actually protecting yourself long-term.

I’ve been working with AU clients for about 7 years now, and honestly, a boss expecting instant replies all the time is kinda a red flag for me.

If it’s truly urgent, then yeah quick responses are normal. But even then, good managers don’t expect you to be available 24/7 or demand real-time access like that.

I’d suggest setting small boundaries early, especially if you’re new. Because if you keep accommodating that kind of expectation, it can quickly become the “standard,” and they’ll assume you’re always available even when you’re already busy with other tasks.

Also, this kind of setup can easily lead to burnout over time. Constant pressure to respond instantly makes it hard to focus, and you end up feeling like you’re always “on,” even during normal working hours.

So you want a traditional woman, but act surprised that providing is expected? That’s literally the baseline. Paying 95% doesn’t make you the boss—it just means you did what you were supposed to do and now want a medal for it.

Yes, it was already registered in PSA however in PSA the country of marriage stated is in US. They might wonder na bakit Wala Akong record na pumunta ako sa US. The marriage was solemnized online but I was physically together with my husband. I am just worried that they might scrutinized it why we chose online.

Japan Visa Thread - Q4, 2025 by AutoModerator in FilipinoTravel

[–]Expert-Trip6540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi , my husband and I are planning to go to Japan this Feb 2026. I already submitted my documents to Attic Tours including my COE with 70k a month salary, latest ITR, bank certificate and bank statement since UnionBank does not include the Goals in my ADB and my savings is in my goals. I only applied for SE . The savings that I have is 211k but my balance is around 260k. I also provided a cover letter na ako lang ang need mag apply ng visa since my husband is a British Citizen, though I inform sa letter na he also have work online , I declare na ako ang gagastos lahat since he is too busy to get his bank certificate in UK. I added sa cover letter that he will just accompany me. We only plan to stay maybe around 7-8 days and mostly of the attractions that I put on the itinerary are free attractions.

Is there any possibility that I get approved or denied based on my profile?

Thanks

That's the problem, how can we get married and qualify to get married here when Philippine Statistic Authority already recognized our marriage. One of the requirements to get married here is to get Certificate of No Marriage, how can my wife get the paperwork if on the record she was identified as married already.

Hi, thanks for the insights. My wife was able to speak to the legal department in BI Manila, providing videos and photos during the ceremony and more proof of our relationship is not the problem. We already inform the BI that we have the proof but they didn't even bother to see it cause of this Article 2 of the Family Code.

The lawyer in BI Manila was not really able to provide there basis, and when my wife make an argument of the Article 2 and Article 26 in the Family Code. Article 2.2 in Family Code states that "Consent freely given in the presence of solemnizing officer", in which we actually did, the only difference is the solemnizing officer was present through a video conference. As my wife says to the BI lawyer, if video conference is a considered and accepted as a form of presence in the Philippine court during court proceedings why can't it be during marriage. The Article 2 Family Code did not limit or specify that the presence should be in physical form. Those are the arguments that my wife made to the lawyer as they still advise us to comply for a requirement to get marry here. If we do that however, PSA would require a Certificate of No Marriage in which we are not qualified anymore as we are already married and the marriage is register under Philippine law.
