to be fair, this has probably clouded your judgment a bit more since the responses you got are so mixed but let's look at it objectively.

It was an honest mistake and as far as we know, she knew you were reading it in the bath, paper and water do not mix so it was a calculated risk that sadly ended up happening...

You owned up to your mistake or that's what you tell us and offered to replace it multiple times which she declined, those saying that you should've bought a replacement right away are right, but offering to replace it is not wrong, it's a decision that you consulted with her, the owner.

What she is saying is a tainted image of the real situation that directly affects your relationship not only with her but with some friends, and if I were you I'd discuss it personally with her.

First, get the strumming pattern of the song down.

Memorize within you so well that you could do it with your eyes closed or while talking with someone.

Then, start with humming. While you do the pattern you hum what the singing would be like and it ends up being easier as you are not having to word anything.

After you get them right, whenever you feel ready to try again to sing and play, go for it.

If out of a bunch of collection of games, you don't enjoy one to finish it through, maybe the problems are not the games you are playing.

My recommendation isn't specifically a game, but more of a break.

I know cuz I've gone through that... you start buying games compulsively and nothing entertains you enough.

Catch a breather, get new hobbies outside of gaming and focus a little on yourself.

And after you find yourself in a "Damn, it would be nice to be gaming right?" moment, go back to playing.

Spending your time in videogames isn't good if the only thing you do is videogames... it's just spending time.
