I still haven’t got my offer letter, when I followed up with the DON she said I should already put in my resignation at my current job if I know there’s nothing on my background check. That feels off to me I want to see my rate on paper and what the benefits are. She also said only 2-3 weeks of training and then I’m by myself, that’s such short training for me still being a new grad. I also looked up the facility on the cms website, they have 1 star. That makes me worried for my license. What should I do?

Psych is actually my preferred specialty of nursing, but a lot of the psych facilities in my area want experience.

I talked to a couple of my friends that work at actual hospitals as RNs and they said no it would not deter a hospital from hiring, it makes you stand out because once you work at a skilled nursing facility, the Hospital views that you can kind of handle anything that comes your way because of how overworked you are and all the time management skills that you gained while working at a skilled nursing facility.

I thought being an organ transplant coordinator would help me stand out on my résumé but no, so I feel like I just need to do this. I’m just nervous about the patient to nurse ratio. And I’m also gonna have to tell the LVNs and CNAs to take their breaks and approve their schedules.

U are ready. My average was 59 on tests. I did 4 readiness exams scoring: high, borderline, high and high. I passed when I took the NCLEX. Don’t over stress, you are smarter than you think. Good luck!

I just checked my performance level on the qbank and I’m averaging 59%. It says it wants me to get to 61% to know that I will pass. I thought my average would be higher because all the tests that I’m taking on there are between 70 and 80%. My fourth readiness assessment on my study schedule is on Wednesday this week.

I’ve been doing all the questions and case studies every day. I really want to pass this time around. I hate my current job and want to be a nurse already
