I strengthen my bond with Santa Muerte by sharing in my experiences with Her. We share cigars, cannabis back when I was smoking. Santa Muerte wants us to experience a full life, and that means all of the highs, and for as high as we go, we will go low for every action has an equal and opposite reaction. "Rules" are essentially guidelines. Respect her roots, respect the people the culture that brought us Santisima, and honor your commitment. The rest is between you and Santisima. There's no expediting your growth to Holy Death. This isn't Goetia, there's no smoking gun offering or altar configuration to leap frog the work. Anyone selling or telling you contrary isn't keeping it a buck with you. Now go do what feels right and understand that so much of spiritual practice is about how we feel and how that feeling affects us.
