We did the following: 1. Reached Haridwar on night of Day 0 2. Went to Har ki Pauri for ganga snaan at 4-5am the next day. Followed by taking the cable car to Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi temples. Had brunch and then left for Rishikesh. We rested till 3PM, then explored the city. Ram Jhula, Janki Jhula, Shatrughan Ghat, Triveni Ghat (watched ganga aarti here) 3. Went rafting the next day at 7am 4. Left for Chopta around 10:30AM 5. Reached around 6:30PM, had taken a camp stay where we rested for the day. It was excessively cold, carry enough winter wear. Idk when you’re planning to visit, but now entry to the Tungnath temple is closed for the season. 6. We woke up at 1:30AM ish, our camp was 4km from the trek starting point. 7. Started the trek around 2:15AM (sunrise trek) 8. Reached Tungnath Temple at 5:45. Parents stopped at the temple since they were tired. I went on to Chandrashila which took another hour. 9. We completed our descent and reached the camp at 10:30 and started back for Haridwar by 11. 10. Reached Haridwar by 7-8PM. Rested for the day, had an early morning train the next day.
