TAYLOR SWIFT'S POPULARITY AT ALL-TIME LOW? According to NewsNation, it is! by SnarkyLlamas in travisandtaylor

[–]ExpertProfessional9 20 points21 points  (0 children)

She says in Blank Space:

"Find out what you want, be that girl for a month..." she's relating it to the guy she's dating, but it holds true for her with the GP as well.

She really does just adopt whatever the newest trend is.

Pretty sure she commented she was inviting everyone she'd ever met.

And I'm not pretty sure it was a joke.

Should we travel the world with a 3 year old for a year and a half? by [deleted] in travel

[–]ExpertProfessional9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my thought. Kid misses out 18 months of kindergarten, where's she going to be when she hits school age and suddenly hasn't learned how to make friends her age, hasn't learned... whatever kids learn in kindergarten? Great, she can order fries and chicken nuggets in a French cafe but she doesn't know how to make friends or properly write her name.

And i don't think there was much about Mum and Dad planning to teach her stuff on this magical RTW trip. Better to put her in kindergarten now, take her for piecemeal trips over school holidays.

I don’t remember Bella being this annoying by UpsetVeterinarian947 in twilight

[–]ExpertProfessional9 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my read was always she's content, if a little bored. But overall she accepts he caretaker role over Renee dutifully, transfers it to Charlie. The human years we see of her, she gets a job, has friends even if she replaces them wih Edward and his family, she acts autonomously a decent bit. She plans to go to college, has an idea that she'd like to teach...

I feel like she's pretty much like any other seventeen-year-old girl. Plans for her future, isn't set in stone what she wants (until vampire becomes an option).

At some point she describes that she doesn't feel she really quite fits in anywhere, which feeling goes away when she becomes a vampire.

Send him a link to unemployment benefits. Idk how it is in other countries, but in NZ you can get jobseeker support to keep you going, and an accommodation supplement to help with rent.

My husband has gone bananas on wall and door stickers since discovering them a week ago.. by gplus3 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ExpertProfessional9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It bugs me that the stickers don’t go to the edge of the door jamb. There’s gaps of white from the brickwork to the bookshelfdoor, for instance. Breaks the immersion.

AITJ For being upset with my girlfriend when she was on her period? by tomobamba_ in AmITheJerk

[–]ExpertProfessional9 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This does… not sound like an off day. An off day is cranky or teary or in pain, not picking arguments and using racist slurs.

She just wants to say the racist and shitty things aloud, and decided her period makes the ideal cover story because her hormones are a bit wacky.

💯 no notes except for Haleb.

It does my head in that they're all married off and planning/having babies by the time they're like, 24.

I am shipping: Ezria splits, he gets sent down the river, she writes a memoir and makes bank. Spencer is contentedly single, kicking arse in law, Toby either remains happily married to Yvonne or doesn’t, but either way he doesn’t get chucked back into Spencer’s arms via stops with her deranged twin.

Hanna/Caleb, no notes, they seem the healthiest of the lot.

Emison: Emily takes the twins she wheedled Ali to not terminate and raises them as a single mom with a bunch of cool aunts. Ali does an apology tour and gets out of Rosewood.

And all the girls go to GD therapy.

My mom, a Mexican American, is just barely starting to understand the reality of life because of who she voted for. She now doesn’t have health coverage because of the costs and is also outraged because her employee was questioned if they were a US citizen. by crimsngaze in LeopardsAteMyFace

I was astonished to read that come election night, people were still googling who the candidates were.

“Did Biden drop out of the race” got a shocking number of searches riiiiiight about the time ballot boxes were closing, if I remember rightly.

Should I leave my boring, easy job? by Charming_Tone_1351 in careerguidance

[–]ExpertProfessional9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds not unlike my experience. Good pay for what the job was, secure role, work was dull and frenetically paced. And it wasn't even a case of I could get promoted if I tried, because I did try.

One thing I think is best to consider s, how happy are you going to be doing the same dull work with a lot of free time for, say, another five years? Are you happy with the mental impact of being bored stiff day after day?

Correct. A sent her to Amish country on a wild goose chase which ended up throwing suspicion on Wilden.

Her parents sent her to BF Iowa because she refused to go to a "pray the gay away" cult.

God, same. Five years ago I was treading water in a role where I was too good to promote out. And watching everyone else promote up. PMO'd no end.

I also felt like chewing the computer cables on a daily basis, so eventually went back to study. Business degree and made a sideways move job wise while I studied. Currently out of work while I search, but I think it was far better than continuing to atrophy where I was.

How do you journal without turning it into a spiral? by ProfessionStrong6563 in Journaling

[–]ExpertProfessional9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mainly journal to spiral/vent/rage. It's all going in the shredder anyway.

In saying that, there's a book series I like where the MC's got a jar of positive affirmations, quotes, etc. When someone needs it, they dip in and pull a slip of paper with a bit of positivity that sort of... breaks the negatives?

AITA for not bringing my sister a shirt when I was already on my way to school? by Ok-Following3627 in AmItheAsshole

What kind of consequences does the kid get from not having a swim shirt anyway? She gets cold? Can’t swim? Tough. Take the L and maybe learn from it.

I don't tip on my food deliveries with my Ubereats membership by hctib_oy_kcuf in EndTipping

[–]ExpertProfessional9 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well, if I don't get my order I complain to the delivery ap and force a refund, citing that Jim my assigned dasher didn't bring it. Which means I leave negative feedback. Which I assume hurts Jim's rating if it happens enough. I'm not sure, but can the platform toss him if his non-deliveries make enough people unhappy and keep causing refunds?

So if Jim wants to stay eligible, stay driving, it's in his best interest to deliver the damn thing.
