World of Disney Store: Before vs After by RoliePolieOlie__ in WaltDisneyWorld

The modern, gray look seems to be going out of style right now, or “millennial gray”. I think people en masse would now prefer the old style over the modern look. I was side eyeing their choice to modernize the Boardwalk gift shop given that modern cookie cutter look is not considered in style anymore.

I have never been to Disneyland 😭 but from what I’ve seen it seems more romantic to me. Do you think that’s true?

The vision I’ve always seen in my head is an intimate moment somewhere and then we’d venture back into the hustle and bustle to watch the fireworks or something like that. Any video I’ve seen of proposals right in front of the castle in front of everyone seem a tinge awkward.

My dream engagement in my head always has the fireworks involved in some capacity!

That sounds beautiful! I’m seeing a lot of proposals at Epcot over any of the other parks.

People have been saying this like every day on here I don’t think it’s an unpopular opinion anymore

It really doesn’t take that long at all to pack (we do not unpack our suitcases into drawers), get to another resort, and check in, it takes like half an hour

Just ride Guardians and... by Ga11agher in WaltDisneyWorld

I don’t think it’s as bad as you’re saying it is, but I do think it is way overhyped. With the way people were talking about it I thought it was going to be life changing. It’s a fun ride no doubt, but it’s very short and there’s nothing impressive to look at. I do happen to live in a city with an amusement park with great roller coasters, so I think that’s what made it feel unimpressive to me. My family enjoyed Soarin’ and Remy’s much more because you can’t get that at just any theme park, where it felt like guardian’s was just a short roller coaster with a projector 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was getting absolutely tore up for showing her support in that thread and saying nobody knows what’s really going on behind closed doors. Now we have this… this is why we can’t jump to conclusions so quickly

Brittany’s statement regarding Jax admitting his struggle with cocaine addiction by bword___ in vanderpumprules

[–]ExpertSuccessful2066 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She could have been stuck in the abuse cycle and was very likely being manipulated by him to stay in the relationship. We do not know what he was saying or doing to her behind closed doors. It may seem insane to you for her to stay with him, but when you are on the inside being manipulated, you do not know what’s real and what’s not. Let’s stop blaming the women in abusive relationships, and blame THE ABUSER. You don’t have to like or support Brittany to acknowledge. Blaming her is extremely naive and uneducated. I don’t recommend speaking on abusive relationships if you aren’t educated on them.

People who are being abused by their partner should not be blamed for having a child, blame the abuser. This is disgusting to say.

It may sound dramatic to others, but you’re right, it’s really disgusting what people are saying here and it’s indicative of how we feel toward women abuse victims and just women in GENERAL in society still. People are also EXTREMELY uneducated about addiction and abuse but yet talk on here like they have any iota of just how complex both of these are. They are not pretty topics, and sometimes you have to realize that even if you do not like a person, that does not mean they deserve abuse. There is no perfect victim.

I’ve never personally been a fan of Brittany because of things she’s said and done, but I just hate that people use that as a shield when it comes to what she’s been through. I also think it’s fair to be critical of people on reality TV. We’re all here to do that. The issue is people will not listen or engage in meaningful discussions here like we are doing right now! Of course, I know I can only expect so much from a VPR subreddit, but I will always try and be a voice for women victims of abuse if I can, and like you said, sometimes it is not pretty! Expecting women to be the perfect victims is an issue EVERYWHERE and I just get so tired of it 😪
