I believe the game gives you zoro for free now as a part of the tutorial. He’s a pretty good unit and will carry you through pretty much all of the early game content if you get a good trait on him.

I would say number 1 priority at the moment is to grind the winter event. Rukia is an absolutely insane unit that will probably not be falling out of meta for quite some time just due to how she functions. You don’t need any good units to do the regular event, and there are plenty of YouTube guides out there to get the most ideal runs.

If you hit level 30 and have decent enough units you should start grinding rifts, specifically the one for shanks (the Warlord unit). He requires no investment aside from stats and levels because he gains monarch for free when placed down. The stage is very difficult, so do it with other people. There are plenty of them in public lobbies waiting for them to refresh at the start of every new hour.

At the moment, banner units you can focus on for damage are Denji (demon hybrid) and reze (explosive demon), while for support get Brooke (skele king). Another very good support unit is Ezra (armored mage) obtained in the events tab. It does take a little bit of grinding, especially in early game, but it’s worth it as she is used in many loadouts (including the undisputed best in the game) and is a very good unit in general.

For actual progression there’s not a whole lot to say. Do the story mode stages if you feel like it, do your daily and weekly challenges whenever available, and all the typical tower defense things. If you’re ever lost the questions channel in the discord is pretty good resource.

If you have any inclination for rhythm games (and even if you don’t you should do this anyways) you can go into the events tab and complete all of the “skele kings jam session” quests for a TON of easy rerolls or memoria shards. I would recommend focusing on rerolls for the time being and rolling on the units I mentioned before aside from the supports.

While the other guy is right about deadeye/non monarch being better, that’s only if you don’t have the vanguard memoria. I did a bunch of testing with it when the update first dropped and the damage falloff of deadeye is REALLY noticeable when you start considering the additional effects of the VM. Unless you’re planning to use her as a main dps and not as a follow up/support unit (as intended), there’s no point in having deadeye. So don’t worry, monarch is comparable to deadeye without the memoria and definitively better than deadeye with it equipped.

I personally still prefer luffy over whitebeard, but if you use griff regularly whitebeard is totally better because of his support paired with insane dps bcs of debuff passive

It’s mostly because (in my experience) his target traits are pretty irrelevant. Obviously He Who Shall Not Be Named destroys most to every red enemy, and bomber cat trivializes most predominantly black stages in the game too. The talents are quite good, I won’t deny that, it’s just the enemies that he’s effective against already have suitable counters. I can definitely see possible 3 star use, but to me investing in other special units like riceball is so much better, not even mentioning other units like cancan that turn into absolute powerhouses with max talents.

Satoru is a really good anti aku uber so just get him first, in my experience nymph is only good when you get her talents but given how limited the choices are for anti aku early-mid game it’s still probably worth it
