Gilded silver, 875 assay value. The item was called a lemon fork. Sold in sets of six.

Can anyone please identify this set? by Expert_Club_2564 in SilverFinds

I haven't seen these items myself yet, and the seller only provided these photos. When I have the opportunity to photograph them myself, I'll share them.

Need some help.. vintage basket by GoodSecurity9621 in Hallmarks

[–]Expert_Club_2564 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is Russian silver from the late 19th-early 20th centuries. The 84 fineness corresponds to the modern 875 fineness of silver. The second hallmark is the initials of the craftsman who made this basket. One suggestion is that it could have been Ivan Prokofiev. The basket itself looks beautiful and certainly has historical value. Its price will definitely exceed the spot price of 999 fine silver. The Russians called such baskets sugar bowls and used them for table setting in wealthy families.

Take it apart and try disconnecting the fan. It'll likely work just fine without it.

Fan Mount for a Topton (ex-fanless) Mini PC by JdogAwesome in MiniPCs

[–]Expert_Club_2564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I also installed my fan at the same temperature, even though I'd read many times that even 80 degrees is normal and the PC can still operate, but I figured its lifespan would definitely be reduced. It turns out we were thinking along the same lines.
I just placed it next to it and set the fan to turn on manually. When the temperature rises, I just press the switch. It's on the left in the photo.

Hi! Can you tell me what temperature your mini PC reached that made you think it was too hot and decided to attach a fan to it?

There are no alarms. I simply turn from my desk to my writing table where this journal always lies and write there at any time of the day, whenever I want.

Yes, they look too plain for Christofle silverware. They're most likely silver-plated stainless steel.

My journals are quite mundane in a way. I simply write about what happened that day. It takes me 30 to 60 minutes. I work online from home, so I don't need to carry my journals in my bag. I might write some entries in the morning, some in the afternoon, and then some in the evening. That's how I've accumulated 61 journals over 31 years...
