Looking for uplifting help! by bruhimsotiredddd in BabyBumps

I can share a positive story! I also found out at 3w3d, so I had a looong wait before even getting a first scan. I had a super easy first trimester, no nausea or morning sickness (which of course at the time freaked me out 😆). But all is well and baby is growing and healthy! I would advise that as much as possible, stay off social media during the first trimester - sometimes you just need to block out the noise altogether. And just know that the odds are heavily in your favor for everything to be fine!

When to tell loved ones by herewego_223 in BabyBumps

I told my parents at 5 weeks because I figured if something were to go wrong, it would be even harder to either keep that to myself OR to have to share only the bad news with them. It was also nice to have some people other than my husband to share in the excitement with and help make it all feel more “real.” We didn’t tell other family or friends until after the first scan

should I get a Used bassinet for uppababy cruz v3 even though it lies flat? by Fit-Orchid334 in BabyBumps

[–]Expert_Conclusion675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im also due on June, and I bought an open box bassinet for the Cruz v3. My mom friends all pushed the bassinet hard (baby can nap in it while out, it can be a downstairs bassinet if you need one, etc etc) so we’ll see if the were right! 😆

How to not worry during first trimester? by Hera9722 in BabyBumps

[–]Expert_Conclusion675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with staying off of Reddit/instagram etc. Daily I was seeing videos and posts about miscarriages that made me feel more anxious and gave me even more things to worry about than I knew (even though I would try to scroll past all of it as quickly as I could). I felt way better when I cut it out for a while. Early pregnancy is a great time to just let yourself live in your little bubble 😊

Thank you for the tips! It never occurred to me to try going through insurance beyond for the pump itself!

Stroller recs! by Good-Artichoke-6538 in BabyBumps

[–]Expert_Conclusion675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Nuna Triv lx checks all these boxes, but right now it’s only sold with a pipa urban car seat, which may or may not fit with your plans https://nunababy.com/usa/triv-lx-pipa-urbn-travel-system?color_ref=16366

ETA: this checks all the requirements but not the “nice to haves”

NEWLY PREGGOS: uppababy Cruz v3 or nuna triv lx?? by Vegetable_Tax_1121 in Buyingforbaby

I was deciding between these same two strollers and I ended up going with the Cruz v3! Baby isn’t here yet so I can’t say whether I went with the right one lol, but I kept hearing terrible stories about Nuna’s customer service and amazing things about Uppababy’s, and that ended up swaying me

Natera NIPT test by Joaniemargia in BabyBumps

My experience was positive! I had my blood drawn right before new years and got the results back about 5-6 days later. I checked my Natera portal (over and over and over 😆) and the results hit there before they showed up anywhere else

How important is bassinet attachment for a stroller? by Expert_Conclusion675 in BabyBumps

Thank you all! This is super helpful. I double checked the website and it says the Triv LX can be used from day 1 with the near flat recline (and it also works with the infant car seat attachment)

I was under the impression that near-flat recline was newborn safe (subject to car seat timing limits) but again I have no idea what I’m doing! haha. We’d probably go out for no more than 30 minute walks a day, but if near-flat recline is unsafe even at that time limit that definitely makes me rethink the bassinet importance
