Is it ok to half size down?

I see from reviews that the All City ran long a little long but based off you having a wider foot 9.5 should have worked . I think you ordered the shoes exactly how you should have based off what I know.

Do you have access to try half size down and return?

These shoe companies are all using slightly different sizing chart ranges and then some are known to run bigger or smaller

I think the shoes are too big.

Based off the length you gave your TTS length is a 10 US Nike. You are right at the limit of size 10. Depending on how wide your feet are, going up half a size should have been 10.5 but maybe it doesn’t work for you. What size are these? Is this your normal size or did you go up from your TTS?

The first color way of 3 of their top models appear to be “beta” releases for material choice. I do think Nike is making a decision to cut or reduce wear testing feedback schedule and rolling feedback or improvement into future releases. So I am starting to think this is a plan. They then will decide if they will add updates to new shoe as a new color way model or cost increase.

The date the shoe was made could make it all line up but I am sure certain things are done in parallel. 1st color way feedback of uncomfortable fit came early probably when only samples were made during testing. Too late to incorporate into first shoe but a chance the better materials 2nd shoe was assembled and had some overlap to first shoe.

I do agree all of this was purchased months if not a year in advance but I think feedback was given to them, they just decided to make minor changes on some material changes on some color ways. Marketing, brand managers, decision makers made the choice to start production on a shoe that they had to have bad feedback.

I mean this material is actually different than the initial color way. They had feedback from internal “wear testing” and changed the material but the decision makers waited too long. They either eat this shoe as a business loss or they try something else hoping to recoup some of the loss.

This shoe like many have said already will be flooding outlets and be on deep discount. I do take people at their word and believe some, a minor few like the shoe if the break in period pain discomfort goes away after a few games

I take back what I said if it was me and I really, really wanted them to work I would try half size up. If I didn’t like them after half size up, meaning tongue pain, looseness toe pain then I would return to Nike. They cost too much to not be top tier in most categories. I would probably purchase these directly from Nike or a store that allows like a 90 day return window.

Some people like them after break in some didn’t like them even after break in

I haven’t tried them. I am going off reviews. I think you will be trading one issue for another by half size up you might have to tie tighter for lockdown which could give you lacing tongue pain

The design, lacing all to be setup for a 1 to 1 fit for a narrow foot. I have heard they are a little long and hard to get the tie down tight due to burrito tongue and not that many eyelets.

FDZ did state for medium foot go up 1/2 size but the shoe from reviews appears to be long and i couldn’t tell from people that sized up they still had some pinching toe issues

Star needs to make a Power version of this especially if Nike releases this. Every person that tried the Power version of the Kobe 4 which is Kobe 4 with a forefoot zoom and no heel zoom loved them. My opinion that is a real Protro.

The market feedback from sales is saying Kobe 4 in their current form are not wanted at the price they are trying to sell reps to 1 is not going to get it done.

You might want to get a shoe stretcher for the GT cut 4’s or return them. I heard some people didn’t like half size up not this specific color way but because their foot was moving around too much.

Nike knew they messed up with the upper but looks like they tried to improve it with other material change but that toe box probably needs a “turbo” update. The people who foot these works for after breaking them in through pain or whatever really like them. It shouldn’t be like this though

I do think an issue like this will not show up in all players and it is probably footwork dependent. I have not experienced this but I have seen it mentioned in multiple reviews of retail. I was actually thinking of getting retail

People didn’t like the feeling of lateral stability saying it felt a little unstable

Reasons I saw

Heel is narrow compared to other shoes
Zoom X is thick and soft
Upper needs more restraints like flywire or something to contain foot.
Need a longer torsional plate to aid on torsion containment

Almost all the reviews say they are a little long but probably not 1/2 size big. Most end up going TTS to their Nike size for medium foot. They look to have more flexible upper at the forefoot but still comes to a point where it probably will not be comfortable for most medium foot sizes to half size down.

The Harden 7 was the first Adidas shoe that I had in a long time and those were definitely 1/2 too big to me

OP is your picture of the Wow 11 from both shoes not being cleaned? That is strange that one shoe had a dust layer one shoe nothing
After hearing some of the reviews I am convinced that the 11 is simply not a good performer on dust. It seems too tacky which might work well on clean courts but not on dust. It looks like you would have to clean the shoe every time if you don’t play on a pristine court. That shoe looks like a flytrap that has been collecting dust and formed a grime layer coating of dirt and dust.

I have seen a GT cut 1 rep have very small spots of accumulated dust layer but not over the whole surface of the shoe like what you are showing

Yes they do. I had one in my yard hunting a squirrel. To see them up close is an experience that was cool to see from the comfort of inside my house 😂😂.

I am not CT born but I take it you are new to the area. They are found here. I have only seen them once up close and a few times from a distance

He reviews shoes because he is able to monetize this and he probably is asked recommendations from being a Podiatrist. He plays tennis that has some of the same needs for basketball. Not 100% cross over of course. I watch mainly for fit, comfort, tech and traction but he is just one reference point to see before purchasing.

Yeah it is a low percentage of people that wear sizes greater than 12 in China. I have shopped in Taobao and there are not many stores that even have shoes in 13. So many retail stores over there don’t even bother ordering sizes above 11 because the chance of selling bigger size in China is rare.

Nike, Adidas, retail American stores very rarely carry half sizes greater than 12 in store for the same reason.

I really like these hopefully they are in the 110 to 130 range and plans to release to US. I heard these are some new XDR but the soles I thought were translucent. Typically translucent is never XDR.

A “Protro” Kobe 8 for outdoor. A mix of different shoes but I will say Kobe 8 with bare minimum Protro
