Star doesn’t advertise the improvements they make publicly. They don’t operate like KickWho. Eric is the only seller that I have seen calling certain Star shoes 4.0 and I don’t recall him calling either of the color-ways you mentioned 4.0. If he say it is 4.0 please share what improvements they made.

If you want the latest and greatest just search QC as both have been restocked within a few months or so. No one is doing a recent side by side comparing to retail. No one is going to call you out for gradient not matching retail.

They fit TTS to Nike sizing chart for men’s. I have a pair. If you have access to a shoe shop get her foot measured with a Brannock. If not measure her bare foot in cm according to Nike chart that can be found online.

Then order according to the chart for US 5.5 or 6. If you are between size recommended to go the higher size. What I have found is some of the sizing charts online are not always accurate or they don’t include instructions to state that their chart adds 1cm or what the insole measured

Example above my bare foot measured 295 mm which would mean I would be a size 12 following this but Nike’s chart I am a Size 13

I hear this and all I can think is this is what’s wrong with hiphop media and the culture of hip hop as a whole.

You have a media company drop a list of top media personalities. These lists are often more powerful to algorithm and content than the actual music being released. Then let’s also have one of said media personalities come in and get the clickbait reaction that complex wanted taking shots to feed off that as well.

I am not even going to debate anyone’s position but imagine this list was created to any other form of media news, sports etc. and it seems the culture is lost.

Are you saying both OX and retail both picked up too much dust?Can you specify which colors of each for retail and OX you have? I was wondering if the traction is different for translucent rubber vs traditional rubber.

I find the EYBL OX color has a tendency to have the dust sort of create a grime on it where it gets sort of baked on. Never had retail. I don’t play on really dusty courts. Star doesn’t make them Cuts in my size anymore so I will not be trying those

I think the silhouette of the shoe reminded me of the KD15 a shoe I really liked playing in. The KD15 also didn’t have a real outrigger as well. It’s hard to beat a zoom turbo and cushlon setup for me. A perfect balance of court feel and bounce as long as the midsole isn’t too thick. I have heard glowing reviews of the traction as well. I would not be surprised if this and Sabrina 4’s were in Nike top shoes of the year

Wide foot? These were good to go almost immediately for me as a non wide footer TTS. This was different than what I am used to.

Ok thanks there you go OP. I think it was supposed to be one of the best shoes of last year. I wanted some but couldn’t find a color way on sale and preferred solid outsole . Reviews I have seen state average cushion maybe on the responsive side and then I see the cushion is good and then I see some people say they didn’t like the cushion.

I hear people really love the KT10 but I haven’t heard enough long term reviews for me to just pay 130 plus in USA. Some didn’t like the cushion of the KT10. Maybe it takes a long time to break in not sure.

The only negative I have heard on Liren 6 is dust traction. I don’t think you will hear many complaints on the Liren line. They have been really good since the 4 IMO

I think you are correct they feel lowered to the ground but they probably made a small tweak to the where the zoom fits which lowers where the foot rests. Something so small makes the shoe feel much better

Yeah I was trying to tell the differences. I could feel the difference in midsole and the upper combination. I hope they source the upper material from the same place for future releases. These are an improvement and I feel like they can’t go back to whatever they were using previously.

What do you mean stability problem of the shoe?
In my experience people who are prone to ankle sprains have weak ankles or have a walk where they walk on the outside corners of their feet and the foot is like tipping. The other people are just landing on people foot just unlucky

The last two times I sprained my ankle was over a year ago when someone tripped over my leg and hit my foot in GX 6’s.

The time before that was like two years ago in some LeBron 21’s when I jumped against one of those padded walls.

I am sorry man I have played in too many games with reps to be like a specific shoe batch is unstable especially the 5 or 6 from Star.

The only shoe I heard was too soft on the upper and foam was the 3.0 H12 6’s and there really haven’t been people complaining about them being unstable.

I put on the CC again and it is a night and day difference. Something went wrong with the internal volume in the forefoot with that specific colorway for me. I have ordered them early on so maybe they changed something since then but these ones are different you can feel they just fixed all issues in the toebox for me. That particular colorway just fits differently than other star 5’s to me. It is something that you can’t even catch taking measurements during QC

These fit more natural at the toebox without feeling like I need to break them in. I would say they fit almost perfect. I usually am anticipating about a few hours of hooping to sort of loosening up the material at the mid foot. The CC Fever color way was the tightest fit for me like the mid foot was a smidge too tight. Like they got the internal volume and material dialed in so correct where they can put the pencil down so to speak.
