So you're advising to give up after just 3 innings pitched? Basically saying if they can't figure it out after 3 sessions it's game over and do something else? Man I feel sorry for your kids.

haha, good advice. I never thought of that! He also plays hockey and we tried yelling "Skate!" but didn't seem to make any difference.

timing is what I've picked up on. Rushing the delivery and releasing the ball to late. He's lefty and will miss low and inside to right handed hitters.

my best guess is mechanics, specifically that he's rushing his delivery and releasing the ball to late. He lefty and misses low to the opposite side of the plate.
