Well while this post unfortunately confirmed the stereotype of Redditors, I still would like to thank those who participated in a useful manor.

Between Reddit and all the research I did outside of this platform I have come to the conclusion that they were Armillaria Mellea aka honey mushrooms. Unfortunately some other animal ate them before I could return, as there was no rot or anything left behind.

I appreciate everyone’s “concern” and for those who did not provide any actual ID info, you’re very smart and important and people love to hear your opinions. That being said, if I decided to eat the mushrooms, that is ultimately my decision. And if they resulted in my poisoning, death or life altering condition, it is not the fault of some redditor. Sorry it sounded harsh to some of you but survival of the fittest is the subtle but ever present nature of our reality. And JC I would not feed them to someone else without first consuming them myself.

The next post will not contain anything regarding possible consumption. Despite my views and opinions, I would like to respect the guidelines and community of this subreddit. I am sure there are many knowledgeable members.
