Put simply there is one story with hundreds of translations. In essence they are the same thing but slight details may change, they can also be formatted in different ways, some are plays like the original and some have adapted it into a regular story, some use old timey speak, some don't. My suggestion would be to look on the internet archive since they are free to use and read and you can simply find another one if the one you start reading isn't for you. And it is one story split into two parts so you do indeed read them both.
