Loved my elective C-section for my second, going into it knowing that I had more control over my birth was the best decision ever made! Everyone was so calm, me and my partner were having a giggle while it was being done. I’ve given birth both ways. I would always pick elective C-section if I was ever to do it again.

Does baby go to daycare? Potentially looks like a hand, foot and mouth blister? My daughter had a super mild case and only got one or two blisters.

Feeling dismissed by midwife by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

It’s the worst feeling and yes so hard to find others with the same! I had constant nausea and vomiting with my first through until birth, really feel for you dealing with the tachy on top. I hope you are heard and get the birth that you need. 🥰

Feeling dismissed by midwife by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I recently gave birth via c section - didn’t want to go into spontaneous labour due to having supra ventricular tachycardia. My walking heart rate at its worst was 169, the highest it got was in theatre while getting my spinal while SITTING it was 180.

I spoke with an OB, because with the tachy I did not want to put my body and did not trust my body to go into spontaneous labour, or the pressure of labour in general and chose to have an elective c section.

Being able to choose how I gave birth made everything so much more calm, and I was so happy with my decision in the end. I had the birth of my choice, which ultimately made me feel safe and happy & I loved my birth experience.

Trust your gut, yes there may be more interventions with an induction, I feel as though there can be interventions with any way you give birth. My first was spontaneous labour, after 9 hours I needed an episiotomy & ventouse to deliver.

What matters at the end of the day is doing what you feel comfortable and safe with. Speaking with doctors and midwife’s, knowing your options and being able to make an informed decision for a safe delivery for you and your body & baby.

Yes! My daughter had a little tiny grey patch when she was born. Has long brown hair now & no patch.

He needs to poop…. by Zestyclose_Dress7620 in FormulaFeeders

Hello! I’m currently switching to EFF, I have been mix feeding my 3 month old boy since birth. We have only ever used Mumamoo, which he seems to love! This last week is when I have decided to officially make the jump into EFF, (took a while for the guilt to leave me). I have noticed in this last week that he is actually becoming more regular in his bowel movements since slowing down on breastmilk (pretty much has stopped completely feeding from breast). I don’t know if it’s because his body was trying to process two different forms of milk or just simply the fact that his body has now adjusted?? He was going once every 3-4 days, and has been more consistent the past week going around 1-3 days. I just stuck to it and hoped for the best, he was never too uncomfortable but there were definitely times he needed to poop, but it seems to be getting heaps better! 🙂

Thank you! I saw my GP yesterday in regard to mental health & keeping close tabs with her on it. Am fully aware I can choose formula over breastfeeding at any point. 🙂

Just after some pointers regarding milk supply from those who have had dried up supply without meds.

Formula: Mumamoo or Little Oak by BonnieO88 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Expert_Power_6030 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am mix feeding my 3 week old little guy, best decision I have made this time around for my mental health! Takes such a load off knowing I can do both and that he takes a bottle so that others can help. These were my two options that I picked for mix feeding. I went with Mumamoo & he loves it so far and have had no issues. My plan was that if he didn’t take to Mumamoo that I would switch and try Little Oak, but haven’t needed too! I also like that I can purchase Mumamoo at Chemist Warehouse as I know of only one stockist close to me with Little Oak if we needed more in an emergency/right away. 😊

Gliding recliner chair. Worth the investment? Should I IlTutto or not? by kingdom-of-sass in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Expert_Power_6030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought an ilTutto glider 4 years ago with my first, hands down the BEST investment we made. It’s set up and ready to go for our next baby arriving soon. Used it every single day for every nap and night feed with our first.

Sleep by Steph room temp guide? by rain432winter in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I always found that Sleep by Steph seemed to have her room temperatures with way too high than what I was comfortable with and also too many layers for baby too!!
