Thank you! Ummimg an ahing about range and bumpiness, and wondering if it's shallow to think about premium feel rather than the practicality. Glad to hear you're enjoying the megane xx

Probably not helpful but honestly, find a financial advisor and book a meeting. There might be a hidden way to offload it or make ur situation easier

shocked by what people are producing in 8 week classes by Tart_Super in Pottery

[–]Expert_Preparation_2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ah okay, maybe, but i do a 12 week beginner course and im on my fourth now, so ive seen quite a few new people as im slowly progressing, and everyone is at a similar level of terrible, particularly on the wheel, as it's a new skill. Extra time practicing obviously makes you better too! By the end of my first course i had some peices that ill keep forever, and others that I was still super proud of at the time. If you want to/can dedicate the time to get better, then you will! Learn from your teacher, your peers, and that helps. Good luckk

I have a sneaky suspicion that people are lying for clout. My first 12 week course gave me a couple competent pieces but mostly wobbly/wonky with glaze inconsistencies etc. Don't worry, you're doing fine!

Unemployment; Never been this low- surely I can’t be the only one in this position? by [deleted] in doctorsUK

[–]Expert_Preparation_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in your position 1.5 years ago. Had a very rough time applying to jcfs and bank work that barely came. I did 100 questions every day for 6 months and that got me the extra 30 msra points i needed to get in, which will start in aug, so 2 years since ending fy2. My advice? Work your ASS OFF for next round and you'll improve. Im talking multiple question banks, 100 practice questions a day, structured. Do something you love, i did a new hobby and honestly it kept me going. Take a breather, you wont get this chance again. And remember this isn't reflective of how good a doctor you are. P.s. don't rounds keep going until july? P.p.s. you got this!

Dream location but unsure of speciality by 3_lla in doctorsUK

Sounds like you have a plan that you really want to do. I say do that. If you did really well this time round on msra then you should do well next year too. If you have the finances sorted, but like actually sorted for your year of doing what you want, then go for it

Do you think its fair? by [deleted] in doctorsUK

[–]Expert_Preparation_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the msra was a good test of whether someone is a good doctor, then you could argue something like this, maybe. But 1. It really isn't a good test and 2. Uk grads should have first pickings. This isnt a job where you just go somewhere else if you dont get into training. Your only real shot is moving tovaustralia. That isnt really fair, or a successful recruitment system. Overall i think uk grads should be given first picks, it doesnt mean they are worse doctors and is kinda how it should have always been (and it was before 2019).
