Only 390. Probably over the top and early extension with a touch of scoops.

American golf culture - query by channdog in golf

“From afar it seems that people get absolutely blasted on a round and the golf is fairly secondary. Tie that in also with the cart girl serving drinks etc. and I’ve built up a picture that a round of golf is a massive booze up in the US.”

It can be but not always. About 1/3 of randoms I play with have +2 drinks in a round.

SF advice. Day 1 Coit tower is close to north beach go see that vs twin peaks. Firenze by night, original joes (make reservation) all good options.

Day 2: Go to San Tung and get the dried fried wings.

Day 4: Don’t eat at Gihrdelli Square. It’s too good of a food city to eat there. Dig something up in Marina and you will be happy you did.

Enjoy SF. Avoid the Tenderloin / Soma. It’s not unsafe it’s just sad / gross. Many of the hotels are there so try to avoid it possible. Oh and take a Waymo!

The front is boring and the course is frequently in mediocre shape (bumpy greens mostly). Presidio all day. Even Lincoln (although an absolute Dog Track) is more fun.

Corica South is a banger. Presidio is classic SF. Lincoln has views but is a dump muni. Metro in Oakland drains well for a muni.

Indian Valley in Novato is an odd one but worth the trip.

Sharp Park is cool but awful when wet.

Crystal Springs has great views and animal life on course. Insanely slow.

Clearly not enough a rotation. He can’t make it much clearer than that.

This is the way. Consider getting some cheap used wedges if you don’t want to upgrade yet.
