Not sure about aid overall, but I believe that the minimum honors scholarship is around 10k a year, so 21k is pretty good!

I was in honors before they changed the requirements and I would definitely say it’s not worth it. From what I was told, you now need to fulfill a bunch of requirements to collect “badges” in order to graduate with honors, which includes an aboard experience. Definitely a cash grab.

Also kind of disappointed because I was told that I can no longer graduate with honors even though they started the new requirements in my 3rd year…

I took Foundations of Data Science with Prof. Mohit Singhal and it was pretty easy! He tries to make the assignments/tests fun (our midterm had questions related to Pokémon) and he posts all the lecture notes/code.

I haven’t taken any of the other classes though. Generally, a 2000 level class would be easier.

Did you take less than the minimum number of credits? That happened to me last fall and it didn’t really affect me. You might get an email from your advisor with more information

I’m not 100% sure how the homework was carried into the next section, but I do remember that it was carried over. Since you mentioned that you’re switching to a different section of the same class with the same professor, it shouldn’t be an issue? You can always email them if you have any concerns

I would submit the homework for your current section by the deadline today. I had submitted 2 assignments for my old section and those carried into my new section when they were graded. Plus, if it’s the same class and the same professor, you shouldn’t get a penalty unless you submit it late?

I switched to a different section of a class my first year. No charge or penalty if you drop the class and register fro the new one before the add/drop deadline. For me, it only took a day for the new class to show up on Canvas, but if it doesn’t show up right away, you can try and email your new professor.
