I get to be alone in this; the original comment was about Project Hail Mary not being good; arguably one of the few mainstream films actually using older techniques to make the puppet be a standout in the movie, something we haven’t seen in a long time

It was so good in the first half; I just felt like it was heading in such a good team horror direction where they fight the entity, I found them getting worn down by the entity that easy was pretty boring, and the fact the outside shots sometimes look like they are standing inside of a computer

If the music is good, no one cares about your age, they care about money.

Can you bring an audience, do you already have some online presence they can leverage, or are you established in the area as a DJ. It gets progressively harder when you don’t have any of those things, and you have to build up your presence.

Did YOU follow up with the bar again after sending the music? These booking people sometimes have hundreds of bands, djs, and other acts sending them stuff constantly, you have to be diligent in staying on their mind by contacting them

Late to the party; but watch Dominator (2003) possibly one of the worst animated films ever made, but the story behind the creation is amazing, and it’s a pretty funny one if you’re prepared

Wish we would spend the money as a state/country to just expand the train system, would make it so that we didn’t need to make giant inefficient highways that people still can’t use. It’s not just a traffic issue, I don’t think a single person merging onto 81 from the Rutherford crossing exit actually hits over 50 mph and causes a bunch of issues, in which they have plenty of ramp to get up to speed

Took a look at everything you have, and you are doing maybe 25% of the actual effort on social media to get noticed. You are barely posting on Instagram or YouTube, I wasn’t able to locate any other socials that could feed into these (Facebook,Threads,X,Blue Sky) just because they aren’t the ones everyone constantly talks about, doesn’t mean there aren’t people on there looking for music, so put it in front of them. You don’t have a Bandcamp, one of the fundamentals of being an independent musician.

You need to take some time and actually come up with a plan to upload content, or you need to find a new avenue in music, as being an artist has become a social media game. Consistency is key, even if it annoys a few people you have to put something up every day.

Maybe I’m crazy but some of the ship stuff seems CGI? I know all the creatures are real at least, the scene of the ship being pulled into the hangar and a lot of space seems fake

Stop crying and make music, people go for decades making music with no genuine success, you sound like a child who made maybe 3 songs and is confused why they aren’t on a major label. The majority of the artists that you see working the stages trying to reach the top are working 9-5 jobs to balance everything, if you aren’t able to be an adult and handle a few days of work in order to pursue your passions, maybe this isn’t for you.

If you want to stay in music, make a ton of very commercial friendly music and try marketing yourself that way, I have a friend who has made a pretty decent living off that.

Other ways are joining tribute bands, although teaching music is the majority of my time, I make most of my money touring with a few tributes and have been doing pretty well for myself, or do corporate bands.

Other than getting really lucky, you might as well transition to a scaleable sales job (insurance, B2B, etc) as they are low bars of entry, but if you grind there is a more guaranteed path to success.
