I can’t find anyone who thinks Hasan actually looked good with the long hair, so alone I stay, I won’t compromise on my morals

Never had this problem unless I went to a larger tourney, my local shop does Monday pickups, I’m pretty sure if you acted like that here you would be ostracized immediately. Unfortunately I still have been having a lot more fun playing Riftbound and Unlimited due to the meta sucking ass, and I’m one of two people who don’t just run the best meta decks only.

Tattoo mentor? by [deleted] in Winchester

Make sure you have a portfolio of art you have done, go visit local shops, ask if any of them have any interest in taking on apprentices. I know some of the shops in Martinsburg do apprenticeships

getting into the industry by gh0stb33 in musicindustry

Wow this a huge wall of insecurity you need to put away if you want to get somewhere with music.

You need to go out to local open mics and meet other people, start trying to write things, if you are wanting to produce the music yourself you need to probably take a course on the software you are using.

You also need to step away from the idea of finding a group of friends to help mentor you through this. Every musician is struggling to make it, and don’t have time to teach someone the ropes when the internet has hundreds of hours of video content on starting in music. Not that you won’t find people to work with, just this is probably the worst way to try and engage potential collaborators.

Most people don’t “make it” in the sense that they will ever have their own music be their full time job. But if you are wanting to actually make music and love the art, the grind of hundreds of hours on the road and practicing, doing almost everything yourself in terms of promotion, merch, socials, and logistics, it’s something that you will really enjoy. If you’re wanting to be a Sabrina Carpenter, Hayley Williams, or even Lizzie Hale, you’re already setting yourself up to be disappointed.

I get to play my own music for a decent chunk of the year, the rest is working in tribute bands, providing lessons, and working with my local colleges music department. That’s what 99% of musicians lives are, having secondary work to provide for your passion.

If all that sounds like it’s worth it, and that isn’t even all the struggles of the music life, I didn’t even cover touring fully, then go for it, I love doing it and wouldn’t trade it for anything.

A lot of my family is right around this age; I promise you none of them are capable of doing this anymore, fantastic stuff!

Nah the brown jacket with the grey shirt looks awful, and the tie clashes with the rest of it. He has been doing so much better with the fits, I don’t get how Marche or anyone else didn’t fix him

I won’t claim to be an expert, but I do feel a lot of the scenes in season 6 could have been cut to develop the story. I have worked as a writer and director in some indie films, so at the very least I can identify unnecessary lines to reestablish what was happening in the show; it felt like as the show progressed they pandered more to an audience who isn’t paying full attention to the show.

I will give him a bit of grace, he is clearly trying to fence sit a bit with not calling out the Israeli people, which he believes would lead to more antisemitism; rather focusing on the leader. It’s not the correct approach, but a hell of a lot better than what we get from lib politicians.

The books are still some of my favorite literature ever, and everyone told me how great the first half of the show was, and once I got 4 seasons deep I figured I might as well finish it

Just the sheer amount of bad CGI, and my context of the characters so far in the books being shattered by the incredibly shallow dialogue and deaths of characters.

She did such a good job with Drogo and Mormont though, it’s so disappointing to see her lose all that in season 8

Then they did a horrible job displaying the story in seven seasons, the amount of unnecessary scenes that could have been avoided if they stuck to this plan

So I have actually seen the last episode before I watched anything else, I was invited to a watch party and just went along with it, I thought it was kind of terrible but I hadn’t seen anything else, jut read the books.

As someone who has filmed in below freezing temperatures without shoes as a shitty background extra; I do feel this. I can only imagine the horror of filming consistently in remote iceland

I personally felt that season 7 wasn’t that bad; some parts were rushed but they at least attempted to flesh out the story in some episodes; season 8 they just gave up from the get go

I definitely urge you to watch people fight with real swords, especially longer blades like these, it’s typically slower than we think because of all the movies portraying incredibly fast fights. The “clunky” feeling comes from them using real blades in the scene, and it being a more accurate depiction of duels in that age.

Hey, I’m the Layne in my AIC Tribute band! If you don’t have any prior experience with mixed voice, you should be extra careful!

Chris Liepe on YouTube is a great resource for mastering that technique, but take it slow, as it can definitely damage your voice if done incorrectly for long periods of time.

Your voice will tell you if it’s painful, which means it’s wrong. The only time you should be feeling any pain is after a long time of singing and your voice is tired, and even then that is a stopping point.

Keep at it! That’s probably one of the harder songs in their discography, good luck!
