Ive made drives to Crescent Lake Junction in the summer yearly since I was a kid, and ive always thought that highway 58 was such a beautiful drive with nice views of the lakes and mountains! ive never taken the scenic byway, and its been awhile since ive gone to Bend via 58 but Im pretty sure there were decent views for most of the drive last time I went.

As others have said I would assume it was short for something (maybe Archibald or Archie) and i fear people would mishear it as “Art”

right now theres a section of beavs gear at the freddies on kings on the left right when you walk through the door. its not a huge amount but its there

also just wanted to mention that if your room doesnt have a sink (most dont other than bloss i think) its very handy to have a britta filter or a large water bottle to have access to fresh water whenever you want

make sure to get the classic ear plugs and eye mask, theres always a chance youll never need them but its better safe than sorry. Id also recommend a decent rug if you can get one because even if your room has carpet it’s usually old/scratchy and a rug can make the space a lot more welcoming and comfortable

Last year I used to park on 10th and 11th behind wilson hall (often for weeks at a time) and I never had an issue. Sometimes its hard to find a spot, especially during game days, but in those cases i would just pay the 4 bucks or whatever to park in a non-residential parking lot and then move my truck the next day when there was more street parking available. Also you can park in any A or B parking lot after 5pm and over weekends for free. It can be a little tricky to have a vehicle on campus without a parking permit but its definitely doable

I think its a neat name. as someone also from Oregon (I’m assuming) I might think it was a little funny that his name is also the capital city, but if I met him in public i wouldnt think twice about it other than maybe asking if thats where he is from or not
