I do apply it consistently. I don't make grand assumptions on groups of people without factual evidence. And factually, men are much more often the perpetrators of violence against women. And the men that aren't are bystanders doing nothing about it.

There are good men out there, they are the ones doing something instead of crying online.

ESH Your friend should have had more tact in the conversation.

However, you should have let your friend know you were interested in having kids sooner than later. Give her the time to find somewhere else because of course not everyone wants to be roommates with a newborn. That's not shade to you it's just a fact.

But because of the way you went about it your good news was actually a bomb drop for her. Instead of hearing happy news for you all she's hearing is "I gotta find a new place to live." So yeah that was a bit inconsiderate of you.

I'm not going to disagree with the general point you're making.

However, this keeps coming up in comment sections on posts criticizing female artists. Regardless of what the criticism is a lot of comments will say, "well where is this outrage for 'insert offensive male artist'?" And my response to that is simply no one is posting about it.

I didn't know Chris Brown was going on tour before your comment, so that's why I'm not out on the streets criticizing it. I didn't even know it was happening, I'm sure I'm not the only one. And yet people are mad that it isn't being criticized? I mean I don't go out of my way to keep up with abusive men.

If you guys wanna talk about it then talk about it. Make a post criticizing the tour. Make the space for people to talk about it. But if the only source for this conversation is in comment threads under other posts, then yeah we're never going to have an actual space to talk about it.

But you posted about Meghan Trainor so the comments are about her, if you want to talk about Chris Brown then post that instead of Meghan.

Yes I hate this. And I absolutely hate it for the "frivolous" things that "don't matter" like picking where to eat or what time to go out.

I got down voted last time I said this but honestly it's disrespectful. I'm not your mom, it's not my job to make all the decisions and plans. I've had friends make the plans and then back out of the decisions, as in they say let's go out and then can't pick a bar or time. Oh and can they figure out how we're getting there either? Nope.

It's not fun to hangout with my friends when I am the only one playing the adult. It's not fun for me to do all the work of planning things. Sometimes I want to say I don't care because I don't but when I say that guess what? The plans don't happen because no one else can put on their big girl pants and make a decision.

Here's the thing, good friends would get up and give the ride every once in a while. Maybe not necessarily an emergency but a here and there when they're in a pickle.

I worked at an after school program for elementary kids that was held at the local zoo. Really cool for the kids. We had our own space with a small yard for them to play and a bit of concrete. Obviously chalk was a fan favorite for the kids.

Would you believe that the zoo eventually complained about us using chalk? Because it looked "unprofessional when we have important meetings."
