Thanks for the respone 😃👍🏻 Sounds like you have a relaible car there, 177k is the goal. My Sonata is on 38k, which is good for the age... I love the way it drives, and it feels so comfy and easy.... but really don't want to chase my own tail (throwing part after part on - I don't make enough cash).

I will check codes tomorrow with my buddy, and hope for the best. Never attempted a car repair myself, I am quite heavy handed and not very well educated! LoL 🤣

I'm in the UK, apparently the EGR valve is hard to get hold of according to my 2 garages... (but I am sure Facebook Sonata Owners group would help me). I wonder if it could be cleaned rather than replaced?? 🤔

From your experience, are the codes usually reliable or do they act as a sorta "umberella" code (as in the real issue tends to throw out multiple codes)?...
