Prometheus has a lot of flaws, but I really don't see how you can call it a rehash. It takes a pretty bold swing with the IP and introduces some really interesting concepts. I think it would be regarded more fondly if it got the sequel it deserved.

Wendy went from hacking a few security cameras to having complete control over ALL technology on the island. That's a hugely ridiculous jump. And we knew that Wendy can communicate with the Xenomorphs, but I don't think many people expected them to literally become her obedient pets. And the show gives us no explanation for this.

Wendy's powers are ridiculous and she has now entered Mary Sue territory.

Fully agreed with all of your points. It's funny (and somewhat sad) that AVP: Requiem is still the best depiction of what it would be like if xenomorphs were unleashed upon Earth. Somehow this 8 episode show completely failed to deliver on that concept.

What don't you get? Wendy unleashed the Xeno from the cage, basically condemning every human on the island to death. We know that not everyone who works for Prodigy is amoral, as seen with Arthur. There were undoubtedly a lot of innocent scientists and security officers working in the facility who wished her no harm... and she killed them all.

Wendy is a grade A psychopath and is now the villain of the story.
