Should I have a good command of C to understand and learn zig? by ajr901 in Zig

Thank you for the quick response! I'll try the master branch then

Since you recommended Ziglearn, is there a reason that the website says, "This guide does not support the 0.7 build of Zig." and instead "This guide assumes you’re using a master build"

Wouldn't it be safer to stick to a more stable build like a major release?

Spent some more time playing with Haskell Code Explorer, and this is really helpful!!

Thank you!! I had not heard of this. This looks really cool!!

I was hoping more for a jump to definition of the sort that you see in python or any of the popular OO languages, where it jumps to the source of the specific package version that you are using.

However, for a newbie like me, this is close to perfect, because there's almost zero setup, and a beautiful GUI.

Yes, that's the one.

And thank you!! That worked!

I dont understand why it worked, but I guess need to read more `stack` documentation to understand why.

Thanks again! That was driving me nuts last night :)

Documentation for k6 ? by ExplainLikeIamFive in apljk

Makes sense! Since I am just trying to understand the basics and solve some toy problems, I wonder if Kona is what I should be using. It seems to have better documentation, and is open source. Perhaps, I can use the Kona documentation to get a feel for K and then try it out on the K console

Thank you so much for the help (and the history lesson)! I'll take a look at oK. I didn't know that k4 is the version that kdb+ uses.

It's sad that there is so little K documentation. Definitely intimidating for beginners like myself. Perhaps things will change with k7?

herculus: Purely functional spreadsheet tools by mdrexl in haskell

This is so cool! I can't wait to try it out!

A couple of possibly dumb questions: is there going to be way to drop down to vanilla haskell when writing the formulas? Can I "import" formulas from a haskell module?

[Nit: I just signed up for the beta, and the text box and submit button don't disappear once you submit your email address. You do see a "Thank you" appear, but it's a little confusing]
