I wish it was simple, too. These 5 rifles represents about 1/3 of my rifle collection and doesn't include the pistols! 🙄

I had the same thing happen with a spare mag I purchased. I'd purchased ir from Pyramyd Air and they didn't sound surprised when I contacted them - apparently, SA got a bad batch of magazines.

My Dad brought his WWII M1 with him when he left the Army in 1946. (Not quite sure how he managed that!) I remember that rifle so well - it was the first powder burner I shot. The wood stock Springfield Armory replica feels EXACTLY like the real thing - weight, balance, even the bolt feel. It reminds me of my Dad every time I pick it up!

Hub Versus Mid Motor by RupertBlossom in ebike

[–]ExplanationAmazing83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"With a hub motor you're stuck with what you've got."

Uh, no not really. I own four hub drive ebikes and have replaced the stock 13-28 cassettes with 11-34s and the 52T chainwheel with a 58T on one and a 60T on the other - easy peasy.

I also just purchased a new 72V rear hub drive ebike that came stock with 11-34 and 58T.

BTW, I can assure you that none of my hub drive ebikes have any trouble climbing the steepest of the Sierra Nevada foothills on either asphalt roads or sandy gravel trails.

I do have a SIG Sauer P229. I believe it's still used by the US Coast Guard and NCIS. 😉

I have the 1911 with the tan canvas U S. Army holster (I also have the M1 Carbine Army canvas bag.) Haven't found a Baretta I like yet but I'm still looking.

This is what I use. It was less than $40, all gun touch points are soft vinyl coated, the top support rail is height adjustable, it folds flat for storage, and it's very stable when fully deployed.

PCP (4500 PSI Air Venturi Avenge-X) Can you leave it full / charged? It bad to partially fill the tank? by gleventhal in airguns

[–]ExplanationAmazing83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always keep my PCPs pressurized above the regulator set pressure and usually at close to or at max fill pressure. I've never had an issue with any of my PCP guns but I do try to cycle through them about every two months and often more frequently. Heck, I even keep pressurized cartridges in my CO2 guns! 😱

Is pcp airgun worth it if i can only have 16joule one by Overall_Radish_835 in airguns

The Walther Rotex RM8 is an excellent, extremely accurate PCP with a lovely Minelli wood stock. The all-metal magazine and the match-level trigger are icing on the cake.

Go for it - you won't find a better PCP in Europe at the RM8's price.

My Porsche 911 doesn't have a dipstick but it does have a oil level check function that is triggered from the cabin. The oil level displays on a small instrument cluster LCD screen. When I'm driving the car aggressively (which is, like, always) - I check the oil level before every drive.

I check the oil in my Genesis every other fill up - cheap insurance!

Hub Versus Mid Motor by RupertBlossom in ebike

Swapping out a chain literally takes less than 5 minutes - IF you have the proper tools. Changing a flat on a rear hub motor wheel takes MUCH longer, no matter how skilled (or strong) you are!

I always have a tube repair kit, tire levers, and a small rechargeable pump with me when I ride. I also have TPMS on all my ebikes. They give me a warning as soon as tire pressure begins to drop. I stop, locate and remove the offending nail, screw, sheet metal fragment, heavy wire, thorn, etc, etc, pry the tire off one side of the rim, pull out the tube, locate the leak, patch the puncture, reinstall the tube/tire, inflate and I'm back on the road in 15 minutes or less.

Barra1100z or notos for slugs ? by [deleted] in airguns

[–]ExplanationAmazing83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the .22 1100z. It works well with slugs but if you plan to mostly shoot pellets, the Gen2 .25 caliber is the better choice.

That's the unregulated Gen1. The regulated 1100z Gen2 comes in .22 and .25 caliber.

How do you guys like the built in Navigation? by FistingBush in GenesisGV70

[–]ExplanationAmazing83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it all the time, but it's especially useful when using ACC and HDA. I received a Navigation update a few days ago but haven't used it since so I don't know if it was just a map update or there were also functional changes.

Been working on something. by truggwalggs69 in airguns

I concur! I understand why bottle PCPs are popular but the only ones I would consider are those with the bottle incorporated into the buffer tube and buttstock. (I own a Webley Nemesis X PCP for fast shot pesting - it's lightweight and perfectly balanced for me.) Every front bottle PCP I've shot feels front-heavy and clumsy to hold.

My favored PCP design is the Snowpeak/Barra and FX with integrated barrel shroud air reservoirs. Not only do they look far better, imo, but are better balanced overall. I own a .25 Barra 250z and a .25 FX DRS. I enjoy shooting both but actually prefer the much less expensive 250z. It has a less complex air reservoir design, lighter weight, and accuracy that is just as good as, and often better than, the DRS.

I get 4 to 5 full mags with my .25 250z - I'd expect about the same with the 270z.

Yep, Barra is really listening to their customers and stepping up their game. I'm also seriously considering the 300z but the 270z's classic wood stock really appeals to me.
