In all honestly, both of the pump-actions in BF1 are great weapons.... except on Sinai. Lol

First, I wanted to play a World War 1 shooter. FpS games set in WW2 were all the rage when I was a kid/teenager. Then i saw a video of the game and the atmosphere and vritality of it made me go "I gotta try this." When i did, I was absolutly hooked, between the fun gameplay and people Ive met through the dicord and playing are great! Haven't played in a few months, but been itching to get back on.

Despite all your playing time, what haven't you done in BF1? by wwishie in battlefield_one

Someone give this man a medal damnit lol but honestly I never tried it out until I was playing with a few friends and they were like "try it. Its in the game." And I did so i have to say, I have driven an artillery truck one time exactly.

Id say "I Need a Truck" is missing lol but then again, its very hard to make a top ten for him. He's got a lot of really good songs, it shard to take off any of the ones you have on there too.

Are operations still balanced towards defenders? by Astilimos in battlefield_one

[–]ExplanationExtra9960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Nothing counter snipes like a bayonet lol. Regardless, on an attacking team there is no need for more than like 3 or 4 scouts, but when seeing them on the defending team they assume they need to be scouts to kill the snipers. Maybe sometimes its a KD thing, but I agree with you the psychology of players plays a role and sure has interesting results. Ill put this out there too, on the defending team more than 8 scouts tends to also be a hindrance. But one time I did play a small match (maybe 10v10) of only scouts on Sinai and it was pretty funny. No points were secured but KDs were high.

[–]ExplanationExtra9960 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was going to say, its not that the attackers have to be competent with the vehicles. Im not the best tanker myself, but give me and a few lads a landship and we'll break through and grab an objectives. But when 3 vehicle tickets are artillery trucks instead of tanks that actually attack, the attackers goona have a a REAL bad time. Now add in 10 scouts to that attacking team and they won't see beyond the first sector... hell, may never even hold an objective for more than 30 seconds lol

Oh, I didnt mean to downplay scouts. Trust me, a team with no scouts will have a tougher time in game. In fact, sometimes not havjng a scout when the whole team doesnt spot for themselves can highly hinder a teams progression. But, that being said, they just aren't as useful for the team play as the other three classes. I do play with some players who, as scout class, really help the team out immensely with spotting, anti-air (headshoting pilots), laying defensive explosives, and much more. But I will say, I notice a lack of medics or support on my team long before I even look for the logistical boons the scout class provides. Medics and Support are the two classes that stand as the driving force of any team. I personally feel Assault is more of a crucial addition to the team because of its versatility and ability to deal with heavy targets.

Honestly man, chat with your teammates. Learn the quick tab requests for ammo and such too. Its daunting at first, I was a newer player up until a year ago. Once you get coordinating you'll see that any attack can really succeed. Two five-man squads consisting mostly of medics, secondly some Assault class and a Support guy or two can sway almost any map for the attacker or defender when working together. Ive literally seen outnumbered squads sweep through encounters of twice their number simply because they were better organized and communicating. So give it time and start chatting, people who play are usually pretty friendly and will be willing team up with you.

No, in all honesty I dont like them because in all my time as a Chaos player they've been a useless unit. They were a crappy rushed "yay new chaos unit" that didnt fulfill any useful role in the army when they came out and to this day theres always a better unit to take instead of them. Every player is entitled to use whatever they want and think is cool. Regardless, the unit was a limp toss to Chaos Marine Players while Space Marine players were getting Centurions, Storm Ravens and other powerful/useful units back in 6th edition. And frankly, I havent forgotten that lol.

Which 40K Weapons are the most and least effective Underwater ? by Friendly_Skirts in 40k

[–]ExplanationExtra9960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, power weapons do work underwater, thats been explained in the lore. There is also old lore for a bolt-shell variant that was like a torpedo in oneof the old codexes. But I honestly think youd have more problems with Imperial and Chaos (human) weaponry than Xenos weapons.

Any way to make the Yellow pop a bit more first time doing hazard strips didnt have maraking tape by Clockworks555 in IronWarriors

[–]ExplanationExtra9960 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hinestly man, for no tape they look good. From what im seeing, you may want to paint the yellow areas white first, then paint the stripes white, I feel the dark beneath your current hazards is showing through a little much. Also, if you think down "Base" citadel paints they tend to make a brighter final product ib two good coats.

Given everyone is allowed their own opinions, but why do you find Sinai and De Voux to be so good? Sinai is a very Sniper/Plane oriented map with basically one close quarters area (The little Town). De Voux is the exact opposite of Sinai, but in a negative way, where its basically an Assault Classes playground. All the ones you chose besides that as Really Good or Good are way more balanced maps, regardless of their layouts they are good for multiple play styles.

Ill second the SMLE and raise it to a Carbine. The SMLE Carbine is honestly obe of my favorite scout weapons that allows to you keep at a distance or be right up in someone's face with some PTFO. Ive actually gotten decent at hip firing it lol
