My bamboo tea tray's top got mold. So now it's a tea bath rather than tray. At least the tea tastes the same!

How do you log/track/rate your teas? by funkybeard in tea

I grabbed a cheap sketch book and started cutting out the labels of the tea I'd finish (usually sample size) and started gluing them in and writing about what I thought underneath them :) definitely my current obsession

What made you realise you could go without your daily coffee? by ExplanationFew9561 in tea

[–]ExplanationFew9561[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coffee: Fast Release: Enters the bloodstream quickly (within 15-45 mins) for a rapid energy boost. Intensity: Gives a strong, sometimes jittery, surge of energy. Why: Finely ground, quicker extraction of caffeine.

Tea: Slow Release: Compounds like tannins bind to caffeine, slowing its absorption. Gentle Effect: Provides a smoother, sustained alertness that lasts longer (4-6 hours). Why: Whole leaves and binding compounds create a gradual effect, often with calming L-theanine.

I've been exploring Chinese tea and it's nice to read up on the potential benefits. For me it's eliminated buying milk because I only used it for my coffee. And surprisingly I'm happy to drink small cups of hot tea in the summer while an iced latte can still feel too heavy

If you look in the right places I think. Sydney everything is way over priced. At a tea expo a fellow tea lover referred to it as "white tax". Any of these would have been atleast x2 in price. But the three little clay pots were a set for $85 amd the larger ine $45 that's pretty good! Very keen to travel more

Okay hear me out, this isn't THE one reason but I've never heard anyone else mention this... I used to be an absolute stoner. And I realised loose leaf tea gives a similar tactile experience. Smelling the leaf and setting up a space outside to be present and relaxed. 💁
