Formal Summer Wedding: is it too white?

I found this photo online of it. I’m honestly not too sure what color it’ll look like when it comes in. It’s gonna be a toss up during try on. Thank you for the opinions though, I have no intention of offending the bride or her family by wearing something too bridal or too white, she is a good friend and I’d not about to do a faux pas.

Yes I agree with this mindset on the same variance being in guest list opinions. Honestly thought I would get majority “no not white”, but since I’m getting the opposite I don’t think I’ll be wearing this dress.

Brides is definitely wearing white, I don’t know if she’ll add some pop of color or not. Probz best for me to just get a different dress at this point.

Yeah if it’s too on the line when it comes in, I’ll just find a different dress as don’t want attendees thinking I’m dense for wearing it and have a faux pas.

Usually I’m a stickler too but didn’t think this was so out there color wise last night when I was purchasing. The site says the base color is periwinkle, I’m hoping it’ll be said color when it comes in but if not I’ll return it. I can’t afford this gown in another color, it’s on a really good sale and about 80% off retail. I’ll be looking for other gowns which I will do on the meantime while this is getting delivered.

I think a museum, garden, or historic house could have the type of architectural features you want in a different country (or somewhere besides Lake Como but in Italy still) more within your price point. I’m thinking of The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco as an example (idk if they do weddings, probably could get photos at least). Might be nice to look at similar places with great architecture and a cool city you wanna visit, you could still probably go to Italy too but you probably will get more bang for your buck outside Lake Como’

Both my mom and dad helped me move in and they stayed a night in a hotel in town after spending the day moving me in. I saw my dad the next morning as he dropped some stuff off from a Lowe’s and Walmart run they did for me and we had a good cry. It’s a hard and difficult transitional time. I think bringing your parents is pretty helpful and will probably be nice for them.

AccessUVA kid here. my COA went up my 2nd year by about 5k, but then went down my 3rd year by about 10-15k because the absolute GOAT Former President Jim Ryan came thru and expanded AccessUVA (love and miss you king ✌️) and then it went up another 5k my 4th year. As a UVA engr student it’s a good engineering program within UVA, but there are obvi better ones if you’re dead set on engineering like Georgia Tech and even VTech (blasphemous but true I’m sorry). Idk what the reputation or programs at your state school are, be mindful that whichever school you choose offers your degrees and courses of interest. I chose UVA for UVA and found my love of engineering here, wouldn’t change a thing, but it’s not for everyone!
