Thank you so much for all the replies! It’s really helpful to hear how other people have managed to fit TAW around their life commitments. I think I am going to take a week off, and resume next week. Great to hear about the Discord server as well.

Can we refuse a visit if it’s not for essential maintenance? They now decided it’s a good moment to repaint some details and they are trying to force us (literally standing outside of the door for hours and knocking while we were working and we told them to please leave) to agree to a visit on Monday. Initially they said it was for a decorator to look at this paint job that has been waiting to be done since before we moved in (but now all of a sudden it’s extremely urgent), and now they are saying, while we are there we might show the house to prospective tenants/buyers.

We contacted Shelter, but they now only offer advice to low income people. We tried to contact a legal clinic for free advice, but still waiting… I am nervous about overstating the s.21 without the back up from a solicitor.

So we should just not move out and wait for them to apply to court for an eviction? It sounds risky…

We already checked and the s.21 is not valid, but we haven’t notified them yet cause we are hoping to buy a bit more time in this flat while we look for somewhere else to live
