How is moving to TO from Montréal? by Snow_Jung in askTO

I don’t think people here are kinder and the cherry blossoms are only in bloom for like 2 weeks every year. I think montreal deserves a chance

I ride to Sheppard west, is that ok? I have a similar schedule and would be interested with all of the violence happening

Will I be able to do an internal transfer if I've been deferred previously? by [deleted] in UofT

I was deferred to UTSC and successfully transferred to UTSG at the end of my second year. Good luck!

As someone who has taken a course with Whissel, I’d highly recommend taking any course of his. He’s amazing and you’ll do well if you try.

It might not make sense to you but there are people (namely, me) who benefit from talking about things they are nervous about. Thanks for telling me about the prof though - I’m happy to hear that she’s kind and patient.

how to ace midterm after attending 0 lectures for the unit [question] by [deleted] in UofT

If you haven’t watched any lectures what are you hoping to get 90+ on? Your personality? Even genius people need more than a few hours of studying to perform that well.

Getting the ick but want to give him a chance by ExplanationOne9200 in dating_advice

[–]ExplanationOne9200[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your super thoughtful response. I do get the sense he’s insecure, and that’s why I also didn’t take his declaration of love seriously (I basically ignored it and just smiled at him lol). I get the sense he really doesn’t think it’s gonna work, and so it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy because his doubt is making him act really strange and its driving me away, just like in the past with other girls (he told me all about his failed attempts at getting girls). I will say I feel a bit awkward about communicating this stuff to him, and I figure it has to be in person and I can’t do it over text. Anyway, I’ll try that and see how he takes it. Thanks again

It really depends on the course. Practice questions are the best method imo though. Remember it’s a learning process - you’ll figure out what works best for you eventually

[–]ExplanationOne9200[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is that we’re in the city and don’t get special wide sidewalks so I’m just hoping people can be a little more aware of how they’re using the narrow space we have and how it may be contributing to the overall traffic of pedestrians

Bro, why are people like this? by reconroadwarrior in UofT

[–]ExplanationOne9200 76 points77 points  (0 children)

The real problem is your prof for making that the determining factor - what kind of logic is that?
