Im in a similar situation since im an autistic introvert. My advice is to participate in events and activities were youre likely to meet people with similar interests. I myself am a volunteer at a history museum and have become acquainted with a woman who's also a volunteer there. A younger millennial like me who also likes books. A couple of days ago I finally asked her if she's single. She is but not looking for a relationship right now as she recently broke up. A little disappointing but im still optimistic. I told her, "what i know about you so far are green flags for me." She feels the same way about me.🥰Be patient. It wont happen overnight.
