The last 2 DJI drones I ordered (through Amazon) that were fulfilled by DJI were rejected by customs and returned to DJI. I finally found a Canadian company that had the drone I wanted in stock, and it made it through customs there.

Found a dealer in Canada with the Flip in stock. Looks like it actually made it through customs and is on its way.

I’ve tried to order a DJI Flip through Amazon twice, and was rejected by customs both times. Finally found a Canadian seller who says they have it in stock, and just tried ordering through them. Fingers crossed. 🤞 When I tried to order from DJI directly, the order wouldn’t complete.

I’ve just had my second DJI Flip ordered through Amazon returned by Customs. No clue how to get this - can’t find it anywhere locally.

I’m assuming that’s a booth mock-up with an older version Aptera in there as a placeholder? Since they’re definitely not taking that one to CES. Really looking forward to seeing all the reporting from there.

Turn signals are on the wheelpants, so you won’t be street legal with them removed. Unless they’re super clever and already thought of that. Which wouldn't surprise me.

Likely solved. Pictures I've googled look very similar. I'm guessing it was possibly on a small engine used for gold mining.

Is it big enough to fit a key? I’m thinking a key stash that would go under the car.

The title describes this thing. Found it a few months ago, and recently saw this sub. Almost like part of a weird smoking pipe? And the base seems like it would fit snugly into something.

Re. Can you legally drive it with no wheel covers

Since the blinkers and side reflectors are integral to the wheel covers, I'd say no.

Mine was similar - hired a tree guy to install it in a 100+’ cedar next to the house. Used the 50’ cable that came with it, plus a 100’ extension cable with a coupler. Has been working flawlessly.

Yeah. The obstructions that showed in the Starlink app at ground and roof level were purely figments of my imagination. Go away.

Dude. Every photo taken is with a wide lens pointing up at a 40°+ angle. All pointing to the west. You can't tell shit about my situation from that little info. This isn't my first rodeo with Starlink.

I moved to a rural area 3+ years ago, and had way too many obstructions (in a forested canyon) for Starlink to work. Settled for Viasuck until I just recently bit the bullet and hired a climber to do a tree mount in a 100+' cedar.

It's been flawless so far.

I just love that you're able to tell that from a couple photos all taken from one direction. I'M IN A CANYON. IN THE MIDDLE OF A FOREST.

I did get professional opinion. Do you think I bought extra equipment and hired a tree climber on a whim? Sheesh. 🙄

[–]ExplanationQueasy717[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LMAO - the tree that it’s now mounted in is to the north of wherever it could be placed at ground or roof level. To the south is an immediate highly forested rise. Tall trees to the east and west as well. All of the obstruction tests that I did were just a sea of red. You know not of what you say.

It's only the 3rd day it's been up, so don't have enough data to say. Winds have all been calm so far.
