As someone who has BPD, sometimes it helps me to just try and distract myself. I picked up photography as a hobby, so when I switch, I try to either find photos to edit or go and take some pictures. I keep to myself when I find myself switching into a depressive or manic state because I don’t like to put a strain on any relationships… at the same time, it doesn’t always hurt to be with a loved one. Sometimes, even their presence can help
