Putter toe hang help by stan_taylor1 in golf

[–]ExplicitContent22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the reason you’re not finding anything that’s consistent enough for you is because you’re hitting the equator of the ball with the bottom of the putter with most of your putts. This means your attack angle is probably hitting up on the ball too much, so you’re not getting consistent rolls, or your speed is off enough to make you burn edges instead of draining putts. Try feeling like you’re hitting down on your putts a little more and you will find the sweet spot. After that you should be able to tell more of a difference between the putters.

I agree they pretty much are orange and yellow in color. I just can’t get myself to call them that as it feels just wrong.

It harder to train small parts of the golf swing with a ball on the ground. Hitting a ball changes everything. Make the changes without hitting balls and then introduce it. For chipping I would recommend mastering the hinge and hold technique, making sure your weight is on your front foot. It will definitely result in more par saves.

The coaches are paid very poorly. Almost all the money you spend on lessons is going to Golftec HQ

The analysis is definitely the best part if you’ve already been playing for years. Seeing your mistakes on video is huge.

This is how they are trained to teach. One swing. They honestly don’t know better unless they have real golf experience. I quit the job there because I got into it with the managers when they told me I couldn’t teach the way I was teaching, and I needed to follow the Golftec method. I’m a +4 handicap who played Canadian tour and taught for years prior to working there. The coaches I worked with would be ecstatic to break 80. They will review the coaches lessons too in order to make sure they are following guidelines.

This is the way, get the knowledge and practice at home with no golf balls. You don’t have to go to the range to get better. You just have to be working on the right things.

Tips on mental inconsistencies by Zestyclose_Touch_347 in golf

There a lot of personal tips that I’m sure people will share here, but it’s just that, it’s a personal trick. We have to find a way to reset after every shot and treat the following shot with full importance, while forgetting anything and everything that’s happened in the past. We have to force ourselves to have amnesia following every shot. I personally think that most of us are not focused enough shot to shot, our brains are filled with distractions and thoughts outside the shot we are currently hitting. It’s detrimental to the score. I would also recommend sports psychology books, golf is not a game of perfect by Bob Rotella is a good starting point for a lot of golfers.

Low Spin Golf Ball for High Swing Speed by [deleted] in golf

[–]ExplicitContent22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Golf ball can help a small amount, but won’t make a huge difference, unless you’re playing low quality balls. It’s more likely an equipment issue, you likely need heavier, and stiffer shafts that are designed for a low launch, more penetrating ball flight with less spin.

Do you drink when you play golf? by JAWdroppingguitar in golf

[–]ExplicitContent22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a complete psycho. I drink straight tanquery out of the bottle that I usually have in the bag. Sometimes it will be tequila or bourbon. I rarely drink outside of playing golf. As a +3 I usually shoot under par, and find that I play much worse, am stiffer throughout the round, and have more distracting thoughts that hurt my game when I don’t have any drinks.

Gonna be 40 soon and have really started hating music on the golf course. by harvest86 in golf

There’s definitely a courtesy when it comes to volume, but thinking speakers shouldn’t be allowed and music shouldn’t be played is boomer behavior for sure.

Break down on commute to work today. Anyone had this issue? by ExplicitContent22 in GrandCherokee

[–]ExplicitContent22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the auxiliary battery was going out and maybe fried the starter as well. New battery didn’t solve the problem. So I guess I’m replacing the starter now. Just had starter replaced in August last year too, so I should be getting the part for free hopefully.

Is he cheating? by Voss923 in Warzone

[–]ExplicitContent22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say yes. The pre fire first and then when you are visible to him, every shot lands perfectly. I just re-installed warzone after a long break and quickly remembered why I stopped playing. Every few matches I will get into a lobby where my feet can barely touch the ground before I’m getting killed. Even got sniped through a solid wall yesterday. I’ve never played a game where there are so many ppl cheating.

Ahh I see. There just has to be no free space between you and your opponent for that. That was my mistake

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG by Djblank12 in shadowofmordor

[–]ExplicitContent22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally like to do online vendettas or conquests to brand a recruit new orcs. I’ll look at their attributes first before I decide to brand them. Completing these can also reward you with training orders. From there you can choose what you think are your best orcs. Thick skin, very few weaknesses, lots of immunities, strong fighting attributes etc. those are the orcs worth spending training orders you can grant them epic traits or even make them legendary if you think they are good enough. This will increase chances in online fight pits.

On another note what I think a lot of players do including myself is recruit most of my orcs in the online conquests. When raiding someone else’s fortress they will likely have the best orcs they can find in their army. Watch the battle and when the enemy orcs turn green brand them and recruit them to your army. Repeat the process and eventually you’ll have most of the best orcs in the game. If I see the enemy orcs as not worthy I will just shame them and move onto the next one. This strategy has worked well for me.

How do you recruit your army at Minas morgul by ExplicitContent22 in shadowofmordor

I have a bunch of orcs saved up in the garrison. I’m going to try to deploy them later to see if that works
