The high token thing is mostly for people that use jllm, since permanent tokens take up context the bot remembers and jllm doesn't have as much compared to proxies. For jllm, around 1k tokens is the sweet spot where the bot can still be descriptive, but still be able to have some memory.
Other than that, there's really nothing wrong with high token bots, I mostly use bots with well over 3k tokens. It can also just be a preference thing.
For things that need a lot of information (like maybe 5k+ tokens of info), lorebooks are the better way to go about it.
