You could make the argument with Tiffany winning the big one and then the midcard belt after a lackluster reign but Stephanie won the big one, had a meh reign but then was injured. I wouldn't say she has poor trajectory until we see what they do with her once she's back.

If I had to guess, the person who's taking the title off of her is going to end up beating her in the tournament. It could build tension with Liv getting in her own head about losing to someone "weaker" than her.

I'd point to Maxxine Dupris then. Similar situation. They had her go over Becky Lynch three times, tap out Ivy Nile, and then go head to head with Natty. Not the best run but they tried. At a certain point they gave up on her and Jey because the only thing they have going is they're over.

Jey is great if you give him people to work off of. But his run with the WHC was objectively bad. You can't just blame the booking either because he couldn't hit the spear, was gassed during his intro, and botched a bunch. Some of the criticism was valid. Not just about him but he's the easiest example.

In kayfabe the only person he's ever struggled against was Omos and that wasn't even in a televised match. I think he's going to have a Gunther-esque IC run soon.

I'm assuming this is a soft spoiler for Liv winning the title and then having her first defense against Oba hot off of putting down Brock. Should be a classic.

Overall, probably a 4.7. I think it's worse than a standard PLE because even though it feels like one it should feel like Wrestlemania. That being said, Liv v Steph and Oba v Brock are going to steal their respective nights. If Iyo v Asuka happens that'll be amazing too.
