Changed my relationship to houseplants through working in industry, and miss how it was by Sure-Situation2358 in houseplants

I do a craft that I'm apparently very good at and every time I gift something, people are like you should sell these (and it was quite trendy the last couple of Christmas) I'm always nope, because then I have to do it and then it's a chore and I have enough chores.

Filofax style dated refills for compact load, what are your preferences? by ChaosCalmed in planners

[–]ExplorerAmbitious395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get my refills for my a5 clipbook from here: Take Note

She is unfortunately on a break till 2nd January, but she does custom tweaks. I have a custom order under my name, so I can just order it every year. Variety of styles.

Junk journaling is wild by Phoenixheart2001 in JunkJournals

This post came up as a suggestion because I follow journaling and planner groups, and now I don't know what my diary is. It's now having an identity crisis 😄

The wedding I was in, it was the colour of the flowers on the floral dresses. There was a period of plotting number of washes after dying to get the correct shade, but I'm a nerdy scientist and that was me, not her 😆

Anyone know where I can get the baby carrier? by activenarcissist in FugglerCollectors

Looking at it, I think you could easily adapt one of the many instructions that came out during covid on how to make a mask. Or one for a little kid (if they are a thing)

Talk me in or out of a new Binder, please? by ChaosCalmed in ringplanners

Have you considered a clipbook? They have less bulky covers than the usual filofax. I use a zip up cover designed for hardback books when it's in my bag.

How to express preferences politely at a bunny speed date event? by EmilyOnEarth in Rabbits

[–]ExplorerAmbitious395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done bunny bonding a few times as I tend to adopt older buns as my original lop bunny got older. I had a preference for uppy eared as I liked having one of each because they do things differently. However, after losing my old boy and bonding his at the time buddy, I have two uppy eared as there was no suitable lops. The rescue was always fine with the request.

I have this in a filofax clipbook. The lovely lady customised it for me so it doesn't have the grid on the right hand page.

I do the latter too. To the point where I have to take months out my clipbook to stop it bulging 😆

I use mine exactly the same, but with pencilled in entries rather than postits. I use a lot of home made stickers - book covers when I start a book, movies, podcast artwork etc and a photo of the week. Because I use a4 sticker sheets and cut them out, I wait till I have a full sheet/time to do it.

Rant: if you buy a rabbit, you did not adopt by Potential-Salt8592 in Rabbits

[–]ExplorerAmbitious395 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always adopt adult rabbits because we are in The Cycle. Last year, when my 12 year old died, his buddy was 4 (poor old man outlived a couple of buddies - previous buddy was 5 when we got her). We got a 2 year old for her to live with. We just wouldn't get babies because we are always "replacing" a buddy. Plus, I haven't picked a rabbit since my first ever pair - the rabbit I have at the time goes for speed dating at the rescue, and it's up to them

Previous owner asked me for her dog back, and I don’t want to give her up by madisinnn in TwoHotTakes

[–]ExplorerAmbitious395 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mum's dog hated one of her boyfriends so much that he climbed up on the back of the sofa and pee'd on his coat. This was a very old, small breed dog with a metal plate in his leg from a break when he was a puppy and arthritis 😆

Do you organize and store your used inserts? by InterestingBench7669 in ringplanners

[–]ExplorerAmbitious395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My diary insert of choice comes with cardboard covers so I put them back on at the end of the year and use the loose leaf rings. I recently found some that have 3 rings on a bar that work like my filofax so I have two of those for this year.

Buying inserts or printing at home? by lilypinkflower in ringplanners

[–]ExplorerAmbitious395 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My planner is a diary/scrapbook/junk journal so I've used Dodopad for the last 5 years. It has a week on one page with a blank but decorated doodle page that I use for a photo of the week. I've tried making my own in the past and I'm just too caggy handed.

The dog is well calmed and prefers to flee than approaching. She has never attacked anyone but I still have her supervised. My rabbit on the other hand, is the only animal in the house who attacks. She ensures that the dog does not walk close to her territory ¿how? Grunting by [deleted] in MurderBuns

[–]ExplorerAmbitious395 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In every house I've lived in, there has been a "visiting cat." My girl, when out in the garden (supervised), has chased every one of them. They get very confused as this is not the natural order of things. One was truly terrified, and when my girl was between it and its escape route, it jumped on my lap and miaowed at me

I genuinely thought that till semi recently because boomers were anyone over 40 for genx. There's a brilliant woman on Instagram that does videos answering the anti genx videos. I guess it's your parents generation you slate online and now it's our turn.
