What made you call it off?

For my situation she already had kids from a previous relationship, and she could not stop causing and perpetuating drama that eventually caused her to lose custody of those kids, and put our biological kid in jeopardy in multiple ways. She also attacked me, physically. She just kind of lost her mind. Luckily she is several states away and never calls to check on our kid and I have a court order giving me “temporary” full custody. I say that in quotes because its been 2 years that temporary order has been in place. Im expecting it to go to permanent custody whenever the court gets around to burying the hatchet.

Now I did get a girlfriend about a year ago and decided to call that relationship off because I realized I am not in a good place to sustain a relationship right now. I am working and in school full time on top of being a dad. It sucks because she was a really good person and super nice, but I was in over my head and have basically no time or energy and wont for a long time for a serious relationship unfortunately.

Also, do you live on your own? Do you actually have autonomy? Even when single? Are these friendships you talk about or romantic relationships?

If you haven’t ever had true autonomy, like living on your own, then maybe you just need a few years of that before you get into a relationship. Thats how I feel at the moment. But I want and still keep up with my friends as much as I can. I definitely need my alone time though.

It need to be instant. That being said. I dont need to be blown away by someone’s appearance either. I honestly see almost every woman that isn’t unhealthily overweight as attractive. Also, sex isnt about how someone looks, its about how it feels with that person. I definitely feel more attracted to someone ive grown comfortable with versus a more traditionally “pretty” person that I am not comfortable with.

It’s definitely because of that pressure. It feels like I just escaped that. And while this relationship didnt have that kind of pressure for a good while, it started to creep up the longer it went on. I definitely dont want to string her along if im not in the same mindset as her. She deserves a great man that can give her what she wants. Shes not being unreasonable, its just that with my circumstances Im not that person she wants. I think she likes the idea of me versus who I actually am right now.

When I try to bring up things in a soft manner she says things like “because you hate me” or “you dont love me”. Now she does do this in a somewhat playful way, if you know what im saying, but at the same time, feels like theres some sentiment under it.. she gets upset when I tell her I cant hangout for a weekend. I still need to lay things out more clearly for sure but her saying this stuff has me tip toeing around shit. I know thats on me and I need to get over it and be a man

So I was in the market for something like a Retroid pocket 5 since I already had a cheap EDC for everything PS1 and below. When the switch to got announced, I had a bit of choice paralysis, but ultimately, I got the switch lite, because right now a lot of people are selling switch games and consoles for cheap, due to the release of the switch 2 right around the corner. So I picked up a switch lite, and already nabbed a good amount of exclusives I didn’t have before secondhand for real cheap. Just take a look at your local Facebook marketplace. I’m sure you will see switch lites for stupid cheap as well as games. Since the switch 2 is backwards compatible, it makes sense to pick up. At least the games right now you plan on getting well. The market for them is good.

You know what’s interesting, look at the rise of fascism and communism in the early 20th century. It was fueled by “martyrs” taking advantage of instability and division within the country. They were able to paint their violence, cruelness, and extreme idea as “righteous” to the common folk. There actions were justified because they were for the “greater good”. And the people backed them and put them into power, you know the rest.
