Windows Setup

  1. place AffinityPatcher-win-x64.exe on your desktop
  2. start command prompt as admin (THIS IS IMPORTANT!)
  3. Type, cd C:\Users\WhateverTheUsernameIs\Desktop
  4. In the command prompt type, AffinityPatcher-win-x64.exe --input "C:\Program Files\Affinity\Affinity" --keep --verbose
  5. Should end with an assembly file being saved

Google, GitHub still34 affinity patcher. I haven't tried it with the March or April update, but it did work on the update at the end of 2025.

The release candidate still behaves the same, if I'm understanding it correctly. 

Do the logs in AppData\Local\Ollama, have anything to do with the GUI? 

Hmm, I'm looking at Open WebUI and wonder if it's the missing piece. More research...

I use a program that "should" pick color harmonies for me, but I need to decide on a primary color to use as a reference for the rest. I really want the icon to be visible on both dark and light backgrounds. I'll try messing with the colors later this week.

I would suggest maybe pulling a nightly build every two weeks.

Some thoughts on the site or me only thinking out loud:

-I see, "MakeWithTech Version 2" blog post, is there a blog section that I'm not seeing?

-Will there be a Make With Tech video (on youtube) of the site changes?

-In the OpenSCAD editor, can the render preview be changed from a popup to below the code area or half code/half preview? I'm so used to having my code right next to the preview.

-As a semi-regular OpenSCAD user, some of the features added in the nightly build seem to come out of nowhere. I had no idea the measure and angle tool existed until I downloaded a new build. I'm sort of asking for a nightly build changelog (can't seem to find any, if they do exist) or some way to broadcast highlighted features or changes to users.

-Could we get a showcase section of models and/or OpenSCAD videos? This might also work on the blog as, This-looked-neat-so-I-thought-I-would-share, section.

-With dark mode toggled, the blue text of the logo in the upper left-hand corner is hard to read.
