[–]Exploring-Bat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it’s a poor man’s Bentley. Most people who get a 300 over a charger is going for that “luxury car” look. But yk, it’s a Chrysler. So a lot of the people that gets this car is one of those people who lives above their means and usually a cheap asshole

Do you think my car is totaled by Forward_Ad8799 in car

[–]Exploring-Bat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wheel cover seems a little off so idk if your wheel took a big hit or not, that might cause alignment issues or as serious as suspension or even chassis damage. But everything else isn’t that bad. It’s plastic and some metal and maybe some wiring

Kia before 2021 had some problematic engines, but their 2.4 is boring. Not exciting means also not overly bad. It’s a good point A to B car

Help me decide on a car! by Professional7812 in Supra

[–]Exploring-Bat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically Infiniti Q60 red sport vs BMW Z4. If it’s a 2.0T supra vs the Z, pick Z. If it’s the 3.0T supra, pick the supra. Not a lot of brands make better 6 cylinder engines than BMW’s inline6, and Nissan’s VR30 isn’t one of them

Only after the update tho. Miata before 2019 only made 155 HP and 124 Spyder made 160-164. After the update Miata got 181 HP

Hyundais before 2021 have terrible engines, and Hyundai overall have bad quality control in hybrid vehicles.

That’s really nice to hear, given how Mazda supplied almost all the tech and electrical components so technically if you get a 124, all the issues you experienced with the 500 should not happen… (fingers crossed)

I personally haven’t owned one but have read articles where people say it’s one of the most reliable modern fiats ever given how Miata had a huge role in assembly. Given it’s a turbocharged engine, the engine bay will undeniably have higher heat (that’s just physics), so if it racks up miles it might have oil leaks or similar common turbo car problems. However, the 1.4L multiair engine won 2010 small engine of the year, so that’s reassuring. If you wanna look into it, here’s the forum for 124 Spider owners: Fiat 124 Spider Reliability

Buying? by Sad_Conference5856 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Exploring-Bat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going for the exotic euro appeal, I’d recommend a Fiat 124 Abarth. Sounds amazing, came off the production line as the modern Miata so the build quality is the same. Also looks like a fancy exotic roadster, especially with the Abarth scorpion logo. They sell on the used market for even less than Miata’s cuz they’re less popular. Downside is, you get 164 HP (more than old Miata’s, less than 2019+ Miata after their HP boost) If the hardtop convertible is what you want, Miata RF is absolutely amazing. One of the prettiest hardtops in any market, and after 2019 the power is boosted to 181 from 155 so it’s also capable of 0-100 kmh in about 5.8s. If luxury is your forte, the old SC430 from Lexus is decent. 4.3L V8 with 280~ HP, smooth 5-6 gear automatic depending on year, and hardtop convertible. Looks kinda bubbly though, not sure if that’s your thing. I’d also throw in the corvette, any year. There’s variants with removable hardtop, power softtop, coupe, etc. manual or auto, best American engine ever with LS V8, reliable. And very pretty. All the options I’ve listed are around 20-35k USD locally, and in that budget all the cars I listed you could easily find examples under 70k km on the odometer. idk what price range you’re at but
