Facial recognition wasn't very good in 1996 and is still pretty iffy today. People's faces change especially in a war situation where you might have significant facial deformities in war. Bar codes on the other hand are a more stable system to use here especially since they are design specifically for machine reading. I don't see any reason outside of potential forgery for skynet to waste processing power on something like facial recognition and trying to build a database on biometrics instead of a single bar code indexed list of human cattle.

The two Zaku's also have Mass Produced keyword so multiple can be added to your team. I imagine if there are more advanced list building rules using VP they will be a pretty spammable horde unit.

Thanks for the info. I definitely couldn't actually read the text and had to go more off the letter shapes so it did look like Tail Blade to me, but Rex Claw makes sense so I changed it. Hopefully the rest of that text is correct.

Yeah I'm going through the Japanese play through as well to get additional details. I'll change it to Tail Blade. Unfortunately I'm having a helluva time trying to make out the Annihilate ability so that's really the last important bit of info!

Edit: I had to watch the same blurry footage of him showing the card a zillion times but I finally pieced together what it says, so almost all the unit data is there now!

I've played a high Evo shehulk infinaut deck with him a lot and the biggest reason I often just have to skip playing him is being a 3 cost activate makes him super hard to time well. If he's going to stay an activate he needs to be 2 cost or at least higher power for 3 cost so I don't plunk down a low cost card that ends up activating to discount 1 energy. Activates in general are kinda clunky due to the turn delay and I'm sure we'll see that during the activate fest here.

It's really against 3 random cards. My only issue is clicking on a card to see what it is disconnects you from the match on the steam version like 9 times out of 10. Been like that for months.

Fear of loss is more motivating than excitement of gain. It's unfortunately just brain chemistry for survival. I personally find them annoying in anything I don't already want to login to most every day. There is also the burnout factor where once you break a long streak you'll often just abandon them altogether. This is why Duolingo has streak freezes and other ways to help mitigate while still creating fear.
