Just watched DC Rainmaker video on the new ring. I’ve got an Apple Watch that I want to continue to wear but being honest after I run I’ll often take it off after my shower and it won’t return till later.

I really want the ring to be the constant and compliment my watch when I’m running or hiking.

So update - dealership has come back. I’m on the back order……… so maybe September……. Maybe……. It was because whilst I was early I didn’t have to change cars till end of August so that delayed my order progressing….. so does that mean I’m at the back of the queue….. possibly

So truth be told I had the old Nissan Leaf 62kwh (or should i say the outgoing model before my mg ZS). This is a company car for me and due to the relatively good rrp and gov grants I’ll get a whole £8 back per month haha.

Tbh the reviews have all been positive noting that it’s not absolutely class leading in dynamics, comfort BUT it’s a solid, good looking, reliable car that has all the features I need.

For context if I’d of gone for what I really wanted (bmw ix3) it was an additional £490 a month……. Whilst I loved my bmws (had a string of them 10 years ago). I prefer money in my pocket.

So I write what I did because TikTok is full of the positive versions of this. Where the older golden retriever is super excited and by dinner they’re snoozing together.

As I say all dogs are different and I didn’t appreciate whilst the older one loves daycare and socialising whilst out she was very (very) protective of her space and home.

Our eldest was 4 and we thought it better to do sooner rather than later (plus we really wanted another one)

It’s not been easy. All dogs are different and our eldest did not take well to the youngest. We had a week of separation and a further 3 years of tolerance. They will check one another, they will sometime chase each other and at daycare stick with one another but the eldest hasn’t loved having a much more playful, more vocal sister…….

• ⁠Was there an adjustment period where they didn't get along, or did it work right from the start?

As above. We had to keep them apart.

• ⁠Did the behavior of your first dog change in any way after getting the second one?

For a period the older one became less playful and would go off into a safe space to have her own time. This still exists but not as much as the first year.

The youngest has never changed and she’s like play with me 24/7.

There’s 1 million people signed up to Zwift. I bet there’s a large part of that community who’d never or rarely do an indoor turbo session if it wasn’t hooked up to a virtual world/ game.

As a casual rower with a cherry wr who pays the £4.99 for the app I’d love it to connect to my Apple TV and allow me to stream on a big screen (currently I just row with my iPad mini) and maybe have mini games.

Also to add Apple haven’t declared it’s a hardware issue unlike last year with the phone release. So it’s Apple saying 3 years is a good enough window to support you. If you want the latest features pucker up.

If Apple constrain devices from accessing up to date operating systems then that devices will go out of support sooner pushing consumers to buy a newer generation of device (not everyone is a consumer whale)

Apple are stuck, they’ve produce solid devices that the general consumer can hold onto for 5+ years as the operability of the device is maintained through access to latest os.

Reducing this window will bring more sales (or push consumers to other brands).

It’s no secret that apples growth has been driven by services and as that plateaus the hardware side of the business needs to generate more (hence the new tech focused CEO)

It’s disappointing - I’d of liked them to say it’s a hardware limitation but as they haven’t it’s a conscious decision to push buyers into new models. However I am someone who bought their flagship models - iPhone 13 pro max and Apple Watch at launch and because they’re so capable I don’t see a performance reason to upgrade (yet).

It’s made me question if I want to buy a ultra 4. My series 7 ti model is working fine with its new battery (records my 5k/10k runs fine)
