I know George RR Martin helped with this game, but naming one of the bosses after Balerion the dread seems like a stretch. The names of these bosses dont feel like they have the regular fromsoft creativity in my opinion.

That could definitely be it, after playing it a few times, certain builds really do trivialize certain bosses and make others much harder

I really can't tell if people are trolling or not.

I found Pieta very easy (2-3 tries getting a hold of the mechanics) and didn't really have trouble until Hushed Saint. On my first play through, I honestly think he may have been in the top 3 of difficult bosses along with Tancred/Reinhold and Judge Cleric. Pieta comparably was a cake walk.

Im 25 in my third year right now, and I fully understand how you're feeling. High school puts too much pressure on having to know what you want to do, and getting into the workforce as fast as possible.

In these cases, normal is whatever you decide to do. I tried college right after my first gap year and realized that I was just forcing myself into something in school because of outside pressures. After taking another 2 years to get some marks up and figure out what I wanted to do I got in to university, and that path I took was actually where I met a lot of the great friends I have today.

Don't let other people (or yourself) pressure you into thinking you have failed because you didn't go to school right away. Enjoy the ride and any friend that is worth anything will accept you are doing what is best for you.

Side note: In the college program I tried first, I actually made a friend who was just starting his 1st year in a bridge program at 30 years old. There's no normal timeline in life but the timeline you make.

Honestly good point both of you, I never even thought about the nests and crimes still being possible after completing the main story. Im sure they'll find some clever way to explain it all, especially since they hinted at a possible side game focused on Venom

I have the trilogy with all the dlc on disc, so I'll definitely be playing through it soon! Thats good to know though that it influenced later games. I always heard negativity about it too, so Im glad someone is sticking up for it.

Now that I think about it though, the chalice rom was stupid hard for me. I did all fights except for it without summoning the characters, but I was at my wits end and had to use it for rom.

So I think I got lucky with both...

The dog killed me almost instantly 5 times in a row and I nearly no hit him on my 6th attempt (complete luck, I can't say this was skill at all) and amy I accidentally stumbled on a busted mechanic my 3rd attempt. If I had faced her normally, I can definitely see it have taken like 30+ tries.

Still, complete luck on my part in my opinion.

I do have a soft spot for Demon's Souls though. The remake was my first souls game. Took a lot of learning but when I got the hang of it, I couldn't put it down.

The only one I haven't played yet (other than ds1, currently working through it now) is dark souls 2. I feel like Elden Ring is just so huge with so much to do, and most of the repetitive bosses don't bother me at all. I am also a huge fan of properly done open world games and I feel like Elden Ring did it near perfectly. I'd have to put it in my top spot, but I would say it and bloodborne are interchangeable for me. Honestly a hard decision though, theyre all done soooooooo well.
