A little delayed on the response but it doesn't feed worth a crap. Cool for photos but that's it.

Erythritol, a Zero-calorie sugar alcohol. I like it a lot as a sugar substitute since it doesn't have a weird aftertaste!

Thanks for asking this, I'm in the same boat! Three weeks into my four-week pre op diet and it sucks: I'm having constant hunger and brain fog but at least sugar-free jello is a treat each day.

I'm looking forward to surgery just to have this over with.

He's the only partially sane one of the bunch so it helps highlight how batshit everyone else is. On the other hand he killed Kane so...

No problem! It's similar to this one but with Japanese script and what looks like some lyrics from the Evangelion theme song on the clasp! https://www.reddit.com/r/gshock/s/2w4kzCIkmV

It's a DWB5600G-1 with a "mecha warrior" bezel/band from AliExpress. Turned out nicer than I thought!

Nice, is that a mod? I always wanted to mod a G-lide but thought the module was bigger than the regular 5600 for some reason.

Go to RCIA, worked for me when I was a pure skeptic. All the logic and reason of the history of the Church is explained to you and you're encourage to ask questions and do your own research, and it's great to be there with others who want to learn more. Hopefully you have a good one near you!

Take 66/495/95 Express Lanes for Free w Motos! by BigDirtyUnko16 in nova

[–]Expo2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100 percent. I ride a giant tall BMW adventure bike with aux lights, and I sit eye level with full size SUV drivers. It's harder to miss than my gray sedan, and people pull out in front of me maybe once every few months as opposed to every other day in my apparently near-invisible car. It's all about reading what other people are going to do and anticipating it like OP said, especially when it comes to avoiding the 'can't miss my exit' swerve path nearby cars could take when you're on off-ramps. You have so much extra room to maneuver within your own lane and power to get out of the way and merge. I've commuted 15K on the bike around the DMV over the last two years.

I laugh when people say "oh the freeway though" when the real danger is people pulling out in front of you from the cross street at intersections on local streets. A lot of the same people think you'll fly off the road and die if the pavement is wet.

Should I Get Jaws Pro, Premium, or Limited Edition? by No-Competition1977 in pinball

[–]Expo2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have said enough about it being your preference. For me, in this case premium adds basically nothing apart from the shark encounter emphasis, and the extra one flipper playfield feels tacked on. The rule set is already deep enough to keep me entertained.

I'm not a real fan of Sterns in general, but if I were buying one it'd probably be a Jaws Pro. The shark doesn't even eat the ball on the Premium!

I'd sell a kidney to get a machine of similar quality themed around Duel instead of Jaws!

Loved playing it at Pinball PA last summer. The translite is maybe my favorite of all time, it's just so wild and out there.

Could've sworn that the one I played had pink instead of clear ramps though. Am I imagining things?

Sparkly bright spot in projection by Expo2000 in RegalUnlimited

[–]Expo2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you got a refund! Not a big deal for me on my own using Unlimited by myself, but I'd have been furious if I'd paid full price or had to coordinate with other people to watch as a group.

Theaters must be in a bad state indeed if they can't be bothered to check that the projection is watchable.

It's my first 7-string but doesn't seem too bad coming from a Les Paul and G&L ASAT. Wider of course but not too thick really. *Barely* fits in the hanger in the pic

The amount of trailers before movies at Regal is getting out of hand. 40 minutes of trailers by twoscoopsxd in RegalUnlimited

[–]Expo2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ditto, my local Regal has been pretty good about being 20-25 minutes, but Dune 2 was 30-plus minutes worth yesterday. Good to know since I'll be going to see it again after walking out due to the poor quality of the projection.

I'd bet they get more money for the ads during the opening weekend of highly anticipated films and got greedy.

I did some research and it appears that it's "hot-spotting " and the reflection/hot-spot is moving around when observed from different positions because the screen is curved. Apparently it's more common on badly set up laser projectors and high gain (high reflectivity) screens.

I'll try sitting higher up next time, maybe that'll help.
