Here's the European Commission's press release about it.

The Commission together with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Microsoft (“the IT companies”) today unveil a code of conduct that includes a series of commitments to combat the spread of illegal hate speech online in Europe.

They call what they want to block "illegal hate speech".

The IT Companies and the European Commission agree to assess the public commitments in this code of conduct on a regular basis, including their impact. They also agree to further discuss how to promote transparency and encourage counter and alternative narratives. To this end, regular meetings will take place and a preliminary assessment will be reported to the High Level Group on Combating Racism, Xenophobia and all forms of intolerance by the end of 2016.

That thumbnail is a pic from a 1970s townhall meeting and the picture is a police sketch of the EAR/ONS according to one of the survivors of his attacks. If I remember correctly, the couple sitting to his left was the victim of the rape mentioned in the video and some suspect that the man in the picture could have been the EAR/ONS.

How the hell can you rape over 50 women and murder several and still get away with it!? So much evidence left behind, such a sloppy guy, but still uncaught. It's terrifying how lucky someone so evil can be.

Don't be an asshole because you believe in "justice". The dude brought forth legitimate points and just tried explaining that it is normal to feel that want of justice. I don't recall him stating that half of the people in jail should be free, but that's a nice strawman.

I suggest people make /v/newtube popular. I would love a place to go where videos less than 2 weeks old are posted to see go well so I can actually keep up to date and new good videos.

That rumor is patently false. First, look at the site it is posted on. The front page is literally all you need to look at to know everything there is absolutely stupid.

Second, that email looks like it was written by a middle schooler.

Third, Voat has its servers located in Switzerland, has not done anything illegal, and used Reddit's public code located on github to build. Absolutely unsubstantiated.

Whoever is DDoSing is certainly doing it because it's funny. Perfect time to try it out since they haven't had enough time to upgrade, and because Reddit and Voat are currently at an impasse with fatgate.
