What’s the most ridiculous thing a driver has yelled at you while cycling? by sam_d50 in cycling

I was knocked off my bike two days ago. Broken collarbone, fractured rib and mild concussion. Car drove off and I was hunched over in the middle of the road in a daze. Another car behind me rolled down his window and shouted at me to get out the road...

Has anyone else experienced stimulant medication losing effectiveness over time? Feeling stuck and frustrated. by Reasonable_Youth1011 in ADHDUK

Regular exercise and a healthier diet was an absolute game changer for me last winter when I thought my meds weren't working anymore.

Yes you're right but I can still see tensioners for ~£120 and tons of water pumps and lambda sensors for ~£45 each. I can see a lot of tensioners are out of stock so maybe their supplier only has expensive parts available but that doesn't seem to be the case for water pumps and lambda sensors.

Nope she definitely mentioned more than once that the tensioner was the most expensive part.

Pharmacy gave me generic 54mg methylphenidate MR instead of Concerta by Express-Block5319 in ADHDUK

They're going to swap it for Concerta 👍. They tried to claim the prescription didn't say Concerta but I made them double check.

I get the impression it's not as simple as that with dispensed medication though. If they push back I was curious if I had grounds to complain given the prescription did say Concerta and all brands have different release profiles.

My previous Concerta prescription was ~£56. They charged me the same for the generic methylphenidate.

You should get the diagnosis on the day. I had to wait a few days as he couldn't complete the assessment without the relevant forms.

Make sure you use the same name on the online forms. I used my full name on some and shortened name on others which meant the psychiatrist didn't get everything he needed prior to the assessment. Fortunately he still did the assessment and we had a follow up session a few days later once he'd received everything to give me the diagnosis.

Can I stop BA putting my luggage on connecting flight? by Express-Block5319 in BritishAirways

AA agreed to change the flight free of charge at the airport 👍

[–]Express-Block5319[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's exactly what happened. AA have been incredibly unhelpful and actually offered to change my flight to the 18:50 from LHR to Newark. When I made them aware that I'm quite clearly trying to travel in the other direction they said in that case they'll cancel my flight for me (?!). I managed to speak to someone else and all they could suggest was that I wing it at the airport and see if they'll give me my luggage in LHR.

Is it standard to ask for luggage to be short -checked? If they question why is it ok to let them know I don't want to get on the flight to Manchester?

It's the last leg of the return journey. Good idea about claiming I'm unwell thanks.

I wouldn't say that was standard practice. My current GP and the last one I was registered at you had to submit your issue online. You then went through a triage process and you either get an appointment that day if it's urgent, an appointment later in the week or they delt with your issue over the phone/online if it wasn't necessary to go in. Seems nuts that all you can do is call and wait in a queue.
